Jellystone Season 2 episode 1 Lady Danjjer: Is It Wrong to Long for Kabong?
In this scene, when everyone in Jellystone is staying in the lines to get new Shazzans’ magic ice cream called first kiss memories. Loopy De Loop tells Jabberjaw about remembering her first kiss. GUESS WHO’S?!
Loopy De Loop: I remember my first kiss, it was a guy named Muttley, I always liked the bad boys. His laugh annoyed me though.
Tumblr media
….Ugh I’ve had enough with Muttley, Au revoir, mon ami (French), You are bad kisser.
Muttley is Loopy De Loop ex-boyfriend

One of my favorite subtle cosmic horror elements of The Amazing World of Gumball is that secondary characters are terrified of being boring.  It sticks out, because it'd be more expected for kids to worry that they're "annoying" or "not cool"... boring is an odd choice of descriptor.
In The Storm, Carmen temporarily breaks up with Alan because she fears their "perfect" love is becoming boring.  In The Colossus, Hector is sent over the edge by Gumball telling him he's boring.  Clayton admits his reason for habitual lying is because he's a loser, and all of his true stories aren't interesting.   Tobias feels like he should be entitled to a sidekick and exciting adventures, because he's rich and colorful and he's earned them, and yet his life is mundane.
It's not like they know what happens to you if you're too boring
Tumblr media
But maybe they've got a sense of it in the back of their heads.

To begin to talk about Fusion Fall I have to address the history of Cartoon Network's crossover countuity.
Now Cartoon Network's crossover countuity is a lot different than Nickelodeon's crossover countuity for one very key reason: The Cartoon Network's Crossover Countuity predates Cartoon Network itself.
The reason for this is that Cartoon Network's original prime directive was as a house for the Turner Broadcasting animation library, which included the Warner Brother, MGM and Hannah Barbara animation libraries.
Tumblr media
Hannah Barbara in particular was a studio known for their television animation, including; The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and hundreds of other series.
And one thing about the HB tv series in particular is that crossovers were fairly common. One standout example is Yogi's Ark lark, which featured characters from over 20 different cartoons over an hour and an environmentalist plot.
Tumblr media
Before I can explain how Yogi Bear flying around the world in an ark ties back into a 2000's MMO I have to remind you that "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit" came out in 1988 and when Cartoon Network launched as a network in 1992 the Toon Town feaver had already set in around the animation industry and community. And Cartoon Network was in a perfect position to have Rodger Rabbit level crossovers between their own characters in their advertising, so they absolutely did.
Tumblr media
In Late 1993 and early 1994 this Rodger Rabbit energy took a head with two CN Cartoons that predate Dexter's Lab; The Moxy Show and Space Ghost Coast To Coast.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now these two shows are the point where the HB Crossover countuity really became the CN crossover continuity
Both series were extremely meta, lacked a 4th wall, and featured characters that were fully aware they were cartoons working for Cartoon Network alongside regular humans; it painted a picture of how the cartoon world of Rodger Rabbit was holding up in the contemporary 1990s after decades of television animation.
youtube
By the time the early Cartoon Cartoons came around, there was already a word in for them to inhabit outside of their regular programing, mostly represented as the inside of a "Cartoon Network World Headquarters" a fictional location somewhat corresponding with the networks real headquarters, the Tuner Broadcasting offices in Atlanta, Georgia
youtube
While older animated series were eventually moved from Cartoon Network to Boomerang, The Moxy Show was mostly forgotten, and Space Ghost Coast To Coast was pulled into the Adult Swim branding, it eventually reached a point where the Cartoon Network had enough original series for the Cartoon Network network continuity to consist primarily of characters from Cartoon Network original series, however the Scooby Doo gang kinda hung around because they were still getting enough new martial at the time.
youtube
The highlight of the crossover advertising was in the form of "CN City" which expanded the Cartoon Network crossovers from the CN headquarters into a metropolis where all of the Cartoon Network characters live together and know each other and get into shenanigans
Tumblr media
Fusion Fall is what happened when this CN crossover continuity was pressed into a Korean-developed free-to-begin children's MMO. There's not much to be said about the game's development as a crossover except that it took what was there and put it into a video game. The creator of beloved CN Tax Write-off Megas LXR co-wrote a tie in Manga and there were talks of a feature film but for the most part Fusion Fall is a probably-but-im-not-sure alternative countuity take on the Cartoon Network crossover continuity.
It's not as much as its own massive iceberg as a large chunk of the top of a much larger iceberg.

This one image I drew of myself like 5 years ago remains evergreen because I'm always thinking about fusionfall like it isn't even a question. Cartoon network made an mmo about an alien invasion that was also a crossover game between every currently active cartoon network property and it was also like. It was anime inspired. And buttercup from the powerpuff girls was missing and presumed dead from the jump. And we do not talk about it. Why? What shackles bind us from discussing fusionfall?
