Ok I was gonna wait to finish the V-Day stuff and clear out my asks a little before posting this but i have zero impulse control so. how would yall feel if we did like. A biweekly blurb night. Im thinking we rotate between fluff angst and smut days but we can also get more specific if you guys want and make a day dedicated to aus or first dates or something like that. Today, you reasoned, would be the day you'd confess to Erick. Not that anyone besides yourself would realize, which is just how you preferred it to be—with no one knowing that you did so. After all, everyone knew you gave your friends yellow roses and sunflowers when February 14th rolled around, so a yellow rose with red tips on the petals wouldn't necessarily be remiss. If anything, the rest of the boys would see it as a result of favoritism; you claimed Erick was your favorite repeatedly. No amount of Chris's puppy eyes or Joel's pouting changed that.

Though that didn't explain why those two were trying that over video call. Considering you'd yet to personally deliver the boys their flowers (because you're pretty sure you wouldn't be able to bike from LA to Miami in a few hours), they'd taken to waiting for your yearly Valentine's gift while on call with you. You didn't understand it yourself, but whatever kept them content while the flowers were in transit.

"Are they here yet?" Chris honest to God whined his question, and you felt your brow twitch before checking your phone. Well.

"It's close," you replied. "Yours should be here in—" The doorbell going off from Chris' end had Joel and Erick groaning. They still had to wait a while before getting theirs, while you're not really sure who received Zabdiel's and Richard's. You hoped it wasn't any hookups—that would've been awkward to explain.

(How would flirts like Zab, Richard, and Chris explain the yellow rose and sunflower delivered straight to their doorstep when a hookup or girlfriend asked? Platonic Valentine's? It's the truth, but you doubted it'd be well received.)

Your phone dinged twice, and with both Joel and Erick egging you on to look at it, how could you refuse? What you saw made you grin. "Your flowers," you began, "should be there at the same time. Five minutes or something." With that, you dropped the call and dove for your bed, a little scared to see or hear Erick's reaction to the red-tipped rose.

Maybe the adrenalin finally wore off, or maybe the lack of sleep from the previous week finally caught up with you, but you swore you didn't remember falling asleep. On one hand, great, you didn't have to immediately deal with Erick's reaction. On the other hand, you just delayed the inevitable. Like an idiot. But, you reasoned out with a recently recalled concept from a psych class, delayed gratification was usually better in the long run.

BUT, protested a little voice in your head, delayed rejection gave you less time to pull yourself together. A shrill whistle-like noise escaped you at the idea, and you're almost afraid to look at your phone.

Fuck it, you finally decided. You needed your phone to wake you up tomorrow. If Erick's reaction to the rose made you cry, at least you'd be too tired to stay up catastrophizing the night away. With a soft, resolute huff of breath, you opened your phone and tapped on the message notifications.

There, at the very top of your inbox, was your conversation with Erick. And he sent three messages.

Another whistle-like noise left you, and you jabbed at your screen with a little more force than you should have. Whatever. It survived worse, really.

Nena, the flowers are beautiful! Okay, he seemed receptive. Like he hadn't noticed the red tips yet. Good.

The next one, he sent maybe thirty minutes after the first. The rose looks different though. What's with that? Joel said his wasn't like it.

If you started cussing at Joel in the privacy of your room, no one would ever know.

The last message was sent ten minutes ago. I don't really know why, pero I love them. Gracias, amor!

And if you rolled over and screamed into your pillow, no one would know. Period. That said, you couldn't help yourself from squealing while typing a reply.

💌 hi valentine! Sorry I'm a bit late with the ask today. I've been a little busy. But anyway, if you had to dedicate a song to each boy, what songs would you choose? If the boys were to do a cover album pt. 2 what songs would you like them to cover? Would you like them to expand into other genres?

I'd have to dedicate Dear No One (Tori Kelly) to Joel. It's a very hopeful type of love song, and while Joel rn has made some problematic decisions, QQS era Joel lives in my mind rent free. I'm dedicating it to him.

Because Chris is a whole ass emo/pop punk baby, he gets Sk8r Boi (Avril Lavigne). For obvious reasons, and I'm of the firm belief that he's the most skater boy of the group. Seriously. I dare you to look at him and tell me he'd look out of place in that MV.

Zabdiel strikes me as a How to Be a Heartbreaker (Marina and the Diamonds) type of guy for the pure fact that he's not looking for a serious relationship. Like, give him this song. It's him.

Richard,, I could take the petty route and offer him F.U. (Little Mix) because that's just the vibe he'd give off to his less-than-amicable exes. And from what we've seen, most of his breakups tend to be NASTY. But if we're talking non-petty route, it'd have to be Break the Rules (Charli XCX). He strikes me as a rule breaker.

Last but not least, I'm dedicating It's Nice To Have A Friend (Taylor Swift) to Erick. I feel like a natural progression from friends to lovers would be best for him (though I think that for all of them except Richard but w/e).

And aaaa I'm not sure what songs in particular I'd want them to cover, but if they ever did any pop-punk songs from the 2000s, I would literally die. And if they do Lying Is The Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off (Panic! At The Disco), well. One of them singing "faster, faster" would be nice. Right? Or harmonizing, I wouldn't mind either way.

Good evening, Valentine! My day was alright, spent it catching up on rest since I don't have classes on Fridays. I'm happy to report that I've stayed on top of my uni work, so yay!

As for your question... Mx. Valentine, you can't tell but I'm flustered. Like, yes, I have thought about kissing the boys but for it to be for a hypothetical MV? AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

All the boys have pros and cons to kissing them, and I feel like they'd all make their partner feel comfortable prior to the kiss (which is hands down the most important thing).

Chris would crack jokes, definitely. I feel like kissing him would be very similar to the De Cero vid where it's a light-hearted moment before and after the kiss.

Richard, realistically speaking, would be easiest for me to reach bc I am SHORT. Also, he wouldn't make it awkward, might joke around a little prior to the kiss. He might even pull a De Cero and add tongue to it, and idk if I'm ready for that skfnmsmd

Zabdiel. His kisses seem like they'd be warm, you know? Warm, comforting, but it does intensify the longer it goes on. I'd either be in high ass heels or on a chair or smth bc of the height difference, but it'd be so worth it.

Joel is... I'd say he would do the softest kisses, like the lightest, barely there type of kiss. For a first kiss, it'd be nice. Plus I doubt his lips are chapped. Con is his beard.

Erick would be quite similar to Chris, but it'd have more bad jokes to lighten the mood. He's my main lane, but at the same time he's younger than me and he's BABIE damn it.

So to answer... Probably Chris or Zab as my top choices. Idk, I feel like kissing either of them would be fun and not awkward at all.
