Hey Y'all

It's been a minute since I've posted here properly. Life has been life-ing for me in the background - mostly good things though! I found myself a new work-from-home job that I've been getting adjusted to, my brother and his wife just had their first baby (my very first niece/nephew EVER), my best friend of the past 2 decades is also expecting, getting ready for my other best friend's wedding coming up this spring. It truly has been an amazing last few months for me.

It's nice this time around to think that the reason I'm not posting over here is because things are GOOD and not horrifically bad lmao. But nonetheless, I do miss this space. If you've been around for a while, you know that storytelling truly is my first love, and The Sims 4 has been a phenomenal vehicle for telling those stories through a visual medium. I just have come to the harsh realization that my aspirations for how actively I can do this have been super optimistic and that's led me to dread the process of making "content." I want my stories to be more than something I post because I feel I "have" to - I want to do it earnestly and with joy.

That being said, I will still be working on the Love Island Challenge, but you will for sure see me continue to post it sporadically, when I feel the urge to actually do it lol. In the meantime, I do have something new that I want to post here that's been sitting in my mind for over a year, and that I feel very drawn towards doing. I hope y'all will stick around for that when it drops!

If you all want to keep up with what I'm doing when I'm not here on Simblr, I have been trying out something new over on Twitch. I recently joined the GTA RP scene and have been streaming my escapes over there. If you feel like popping in to see what misadventures I've been getting into, follow me here on Twitch, and follow my YouTube channel for vods, and episodes (once I get to editing and posting them). I'm also planning on streaming The Sims 4 over there - TODAY actually. I've decided to try my first ever legacy challenge over there, and in true alignment with my own chaotic energy, I've chosen to do The Random Legacy Challenge. So, I've been playing GTA RP in a server for the last month (very chaotic, may I say) and my friend has asked me to stream tonight, because my character in the city is a business owner and I'm doing my Grand Opening tonight lol. I know it's not Sims content, but if anyone wants to pop by and say hi and see what we're getting up to, I'll be streaming tonight starting at around 7:30PM EST! The Grand Opening isn't until 8PM, but I'll be prepping to open. Also rumor has it there's supposed to be a secret car show in the city tonight 👀

1 everyday outfit, 1 formal, and 1 swimwear at minimum; you can dress for every category if you wish, and you can have as many additional outfits as you want after that if they use vanilla/EA clothing (all packs are fine)

No romantic traits allowed, please include one "negative" trait for fun, cc traits by kuttoe are allowed

Please include likes/dislikes (can be randomized if you like), cc preferences from mods are allowed

Skills are allowed (and encouraged!), if you don't want to give them in game, add them in their description and I'll handle the rest

Please give them a backstory/personality (even if it's a short one!)

Must be okay with me changing some cc if needed to blend them into my game (I won't change their facial features, body shape, etc)

Tag me in your submission posts and use the tag #amaribc so I can find them easier! If a day or so goes by and I don't reblog it, feel free to send me the post through my inbox or DMs.

Sims 4 World Map

I’ve fallen in love with several Sims 4 Maps over the years, each created by creators who ingeniously combined all of the worlds in the game into one cohesive map. It’s a valuable tool for storytellers, helping them to picture where each town is in relation to the others. But my favorite maps have not been updated in years, so I figured it was time to create my own.

This is my version of the Sims 4 world. I picture the Sims 4 world being reasonably small, with most of the cities/towns being accessible by car, train, or bus…unless separated by water and not connected by a bridge. This map is not based on real-world geography. However, I did consider which real-life city/town/country the worlds were based on (or influenced by) before deciding where to place them.

700 Palestinians were killed in the last 24 hours and the airstrikes are more violent each night. Gaza's hospitals have fuel left for two more days. Israel only allowed aid into Gaza on the condition they didn't carry fuel. The Indonesian hospital has shut down already, because doctors have no supplies and no choice but to let the wounded die. They're calling it a collapse but the term doesn't do it justice.

Over a 100 incubator babies are at risk. There are 50.000 pregnant women in Gaza right now, and 5.500 due to give birth this month. Menstruating people are taking pills in order to stop their periods, because they do not have pads or water to maintain hygiene. Surgeons are operating without anesthesia. Water is not reaching Gazans because there's no electricity or fuel for water pumps.

There's no excuse for this. Israel justifies the airstrikes by saying they want to destroy Hamas infrastructure and release the hostages, but they have refused to negotiate for their release. Hamas informed Israel they wanted to release two elderly women without anything in return, and Israel refused. Netanyahu said they wouldn't take their own civilians back because it was "mendacious propaganda." When the hostages were finally released, Netanyahu prohibited the hospital from giving press releases. Yocheved Lifshitz went behind their backs and talked to the press anyway, saying she was treated very well by Hamas, but the government abandoned them. They're being used as straw men. Israel is conditioning the entry of fuel to the release of hostages and yet, according to The Wall Street Journal, when Hamas proposed to exchange 50 hostages for fuel they denied. IDF officials have said they fear the release of more hostages because that might withhold the order to their ground invasion. They do not care as long as they can use the hostages as a pretext for their slaughtering.

There's a turning tide for Palestine in public support. Support for Israel was built through decades of propaganda and we are making a dent into it. Zionists are desperate, holding zoom meetings to promote zionism, but we have to do so much more. We have to shame people in power into supporting the Palestinian cause.

Keep yourself updated and share Palestinian voices, looking to inform yourself from the sources. Palestinians have asked of us only that we share, tweet and post, over and over. Muna El-Kurd said every tweet is like a treasure to them, because their voices are repressed on social media and even on this very app. Make it your action item to share something about the Palestinian plight everyday. Push for a cultural boycott - pressure your favorite artist to speak out on Palestine and cancel any upcoming performances on occupied territory (Lorde cancelled her gig in Israel because of this. It works.)

If you can, participate in direct action or donate. Palestine Action works to shut down Israeli weapons factories in the UK and USA, and have successfully shut down one of their firms in London. Some of the activists are going on trial and are calling for mobilizing on court.

Call your representatives. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works, even more if you live in a country that funds genocide.
