Dear Reader,

My writing process is like building a house. First, I lay the foundation by cementing the structure, then I start putting up walls, creating different rooms. Once the house is ready, I focus on decorating each room. While I'm at it, I keep the doors open, but I have to go back and close them one by one, making sure I do it in the right order to avoid letting in dust or a gust of wind. It's all about being thorough because I don't want to mess up what I've already cleaned.

Now, with tpp, I'm at the stage where I need to go back and close those doors, but the floor is slippery, and I have to be careful not to slip. The house is tidy, and I don't want to mess anything up because no one likes a dirty floor after it's been cleaned.

Some may find it tedious, but this process works for me, especially with the tpp’s house, which is big house, VERY big house. There are many rooms and many open doors, including windows. So, I'm taking my time navigating this slippery floor, figuring out which doors to close first.

Every step takes time, especially when things get a bit complex. Please be patient with this project. It may not be the most complex plot in a story, but I'm doing my best to make it the way I want and, at least, coherent. It's not something simple either.

I ask you to please wait patiently for the next chapters; it will be rewarding in the end, believe me.

I want to talk about Palestine and what we can all do to support them in this time. The majority of us may not be table to take to the streets in protest or donate or even show our support through symbols in certain areas but that doesn't mean you cannot support them. There are ways of support and protest, there is no reason you can be exempt from helping where you can. Boycott brands, share and interact with content by Palestinians, do not be silent. DO NOT BE SILENT. Your protest/support may not be as large as some, but the least you can do is speak the name of Palestine. Speak the name of Palestine and think of her people every day, speak her name again and again until she has peace again.

Here we go with everything you need to know about Castles Crumbling or Knight Mikasa and King Eren. This fic is a medieval one and it has some references to tpp, yet it does not happen in the same universe (you can take it as a what if, but don't worry, you don't need to read tpp to understand it). It will be a one shoot mostly from Mikasa's pov.

cw: childhood friends to lovers, co-dependency, virginity loss (of both), accidental pregnancy, attempt of abortion, Eren is a little piece of shit in this one (but he ends up being stupid), Mikasa is an unreliable narrator.

Eren stands as the final member of the illustrious Yeager dynasty, his ascendancy marked by the tragic demise of his family in civil war for the throne. This prolonged struggle saw the house dismantled, its male members diminished and dead, including his father, the former king.

As the only male alive, Eren's claim to the throne is a fact. he is crowned at the tender age of nine and bears the weighty title of "boy-king."

Carla died the year after his coronation, and this was because she was very saddened by the death of her husband Grisha. This caused Eren to also show signs of child depression.

Recognizing the precarious state of the young king, the council overseeing his reign endeavours to lift his spirits. Levi Ackerman, a member of the Royal Guard, suggests a solution: his own bastard sister, Mikasa, as Eren's companion.

Thus begins the bond between Mikasa and Eren, not as servant and master, but as true friends who spend their days and nights together. Mikasa's presence brings solace to Eren during his moments of melancholy, and she is the only one who can lift his mood.

Yet, aware of her lowly status as a bastard, Mikasa understands the limitations of their relationship. they cannot be nothing more than friend, is fact she has to acknowledge. So, wishing to be only by his side, she resolves to carve her own path and sets her sights on joining the king's royal guard, ensuring she remains close to Eren even as he matures and seeks a royal wife to continue the lineage.

At the age of fifteen, Mikasa enlists as a soldier in the royal king's guard. Despite her age, Eren personally selects her as his sworn shield, prioritizing her loyalty and skill over the more seasoned soldiers.

Mikasa faithfully fulfils her duties as a sworn shield, never straying from her king's side, accompanying him everywhere. However, Eren continuously challenges the constraints of their roles, transcending the boundaries of a typical soldier-king relationship. He invites Mikasa to share intimate moments with him, such as sleeping, dining, and drinking together.

As the king reaches the age, his council wants him to share bed with women, they want him to know how to procreate children so they can seek him a wife. Eren defies their expectations. Instead, he chooses to follow his own desires. He asks Mikasa to share his bed with him (and you know, they fuck).

Eren becomes consumed by his addiction to their intimacy, practically calling Mikasa to his bed at every opportunity. He even takes her there himself, pleading for her to share it with him. Despite Mikasa's initial resistance, she finds it increasingly difficult to resist Eren'. Eventually, she relents, finding herself in his embrace despite her initial reluctance.

The entire council and the royal guard are aware of Eren and Mikasa's relationship, but they choose to remain silent. In their eyes, it's the only way to preserve the king's fragile mental state after enduring so many losses.

However, Mikasa receives multiple warnings that she cannot afford to become pregnant by him and must accept that Eren will eventually marry a noblewoman.

Despite the warnings, Mikasa gets pregnant and decides to conceal it, contemplating her options. She realizes she has two choices: either terminate the pregnancy or flee from the court, leaving Eren behind.

Where Mikasa is the rich girl from a wealthy family of Hizuru and Eren the economy profesor from Paradis. Mikasa arrives there to study abroad for some years, but at the last year of her degree, she gets with Eren and both of them start a relationship in which Mikasa feels so comfortable that she doesn’t actually want to go back to Hizuru. Until of course, a Mikasa’s best friend Sasha will get married, so she goes back to Hizuru but brings Eren with her to finally present him to the family. In the trip, Eren discover that Mikasa is actually from the wealthiest family of Hizuru and she’s almost considered a moder princess that will inherit the Azumabito-Ackerman corporations.

The only thing is that Kiyomi Azumabito and Levi Ackerman, both aunt and uncle of Mikasa, don't like Eren so they team up to tear them apart.

Come to think of it, Lord Eren's transformation from a broken man to finding healing and understanding true love through his relationship with Princess Mikasa, mirrors the Japanese technique of fixing things with gold (you know, Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with powdered gold, silver, or platinum)

In tpp, Mikasa is represented by the color white, but her House is actually golden, and gold is named in their words (also steel that kind of have silver color). So I think of her as the embodiment of this mending process in Eren's life, bringing light and restoration to his world. She mended his broken part with her love, and she accepted him as he is, including his actually visible teared parts like his scars!
