Send me an ask or comment on my posts, I love to talk about fandom stuff with other people!
Oh my god, that means that Plagg has to keep this secret from Adrien, too. Adrien is being lied to by his girlfriend/partner AND his kwami best friend. The two people he trusts the most are hiding something massive from him. Marinette/Ladybug even more so, since she also knows that he's a sentimonster. Everything is gonna fall apart when he eventually finds out. This boy doesn't deserve any of the things he's had to deal with.
"Monarch lives here"
"WHAT??"
I cannot imagine everything that must have gone through Plagg's mind at that very moment. To Marinette, he just looked surprised & shocked by this info, but we know there's a lot more than that from the way he reacted.
I think the thing I'm most upset about from the season 5 finale is the fact that even with all the power and opportunities of reality right in his hands, Gabriel Agreste still chose SUICIDE and to leave Adrien fatherless in the world.
Gabriel didn't had to kill himself. He could have chosen anything else to actually make them a happy and complete family again. To undo all the grief and pain that plagued their little family ever since Emilie fell ill.
Gabriel could have taken all that away, but no...
Now Emilie is the one grieving her spouse and Adrien is once again grieving a parent. Just this time around it's even worse because he will most likely blame himself for his father's death because Gabriel's cover story in the new reality is that he heroically died fighting by Ladybug's side because Chat Noir wasn't there and Gabriel as the only adult member of the Resistance - and most importantly kidnapped Adrien Agreste's FATHER - stepped in to help Ladybug when no one else did/could
I have.. I can't - I...
He committed suicide. Gabriel Agreste committed suicide and left a grieving wife and child behind, of whom his SON will now think his father died trying to save him and stop Monarque. Which will 100% have been in vain.
I just don't know what to say. I think this is one of the most selfish suicides I've ever seen in media. He could have done ANYTHING. He could have even changed something about HIMSELF if Gabriel was so unhappy with himself.
He had all the options here. All the power to change anything he desired about their entire reality to make them a happy family again. And he used it to commit suicide to become a martyr his grieving child can for the rest of Adrien's life wither away looking up to, trying to 'measure up' to the hero Gabriel Agreste never was but forced his son to believe to be true anyway...
the ladynoir fall out we’ve all been waiting for happens and adrien gives up his miraculous. he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t know what he’s going to do without plagg in his life, stinking up his clothes, demanding cheese and pets. being his friend. but ladybug doesn’t trust him anymore. the secrets, and the rules that only seem to apply to him prove that. ladybug doesn’t need him anymore, right? it’s better this way, adrien thinks, better to jump before he’s pushed.
then one night ladybug turns up at his window… and gives him the cat miraculous. at first adrien thinks she’s discovered his identity, until ladybug tells him chat noir is gone. and adrien is the only one she can trust.
its a shame everyone is ignoring Kuro Neko so much, I get its a really shocking episode especcially for us into fanon content but it should be acknowledged. especially since it's so important to the show since this confirms lovesquare *likely* won't be happening, and revealing Marinette's future son with Kagami seems like it'll create a really new turn of events for the series. twist like this were bound to happen eventually and we may as well welcome them yknow
my favourite part of this cat walker identity discourse is that we have made fun of marinette and adrien not being able to figure each other’s identities out but here we are fighting over the new kid
big bang theory is awful for obvious reasons but honestly shout out to them for inventing “bazinga” so i have a word i can drop into any conversation for a one-hit kill
Kinda makes sense for Sass to be in charge. With his Second Chance power, he's been through more than any of the other kwamis. And depending on how many times it's been used, he could technically be significantly older than the other kwamis.
So it’s basically confirmed that Sass is the leader of the kwamis now?
Sass: “Barkk, Wayzz, since this is an emergency I’m giving you permission to go out.”
Like, he more or less overrode the decision of the GUARDIAN.
Sass: “I alone bear the burden of the brain cell.”
