Until Dawn is so smart for having most of the gameplay be walking around with another person because it really fixes the problem of "video game character talks to themself to give hints to the player but it sounds really forced". like Emily being like "no power maybe i should go turn on the power" and stuff doesnt sound weird because shes saying it to Matt- and some characters have solo gameplay where they talk to themselves but it sounds a lot less weird bc theyre saying things that make sense to say to yourself and dont sound like theyre trying to guide the player ("what the fuck is going on around here" and "finally something works" arent hints for the player so it sounds more natural)

this is going to sound like the most boomer take ever but I genuinely think increasing reliance on technology for entertainment in youth is draining creativity. it's that instant gratification which allows you to shut your brain off for a while. these kids aren't having to resort to their own creativity when bored. there's always a solution to "bored" now. their hair was a Mess y'all, Vandala's bangs were Crisp, they're still kinda damp and I think their hair is gonna be permanently slightly mad looking but it is So much better than when I got them

(please excuse Venus I got her nude for free with another doll and I had the skirt and shoes for a different Venus laying around, and I could buy a another one of her complete for less than what buying just her actual clothes and accessories would cost so. she's dealing with that)
