Film. Terre Cene: The space that makes us human
"Terra Cene urgently questions who and what will be left to remember? If the end is built into the beginning, it is our responsibility to protect the future. We are guests here for only a moment.” Quote taken from Nowness

Leeds Sustainability Resource
Rainbow Junktion in Leeds are on a mission to tackle food poverty, fight food waste and build community.
They intercept food that would otherwise be thrown away from supermarkets, restaurants and a number of other sources, and turn it into healthy, nutritious meals for anyone and everyone on a pay-as-you-feel/can donation basis. They also now run a foodshare (a pay-as-you-feel/can food bank) using some surplus food and some bought food as so many in the community are struggling.

A Screen New Deal - a route map to sustainable film production a report that the BFI funded by Albert and Arup 2019. This identified the scale of the problem which was much larger than many people expected. The report focused on five areas and practical advice: - Energy and water - Production processes - Materials - Studios facilities - Studio sites As a result of this report, the BFI gave money to the Welsh cluster to take those recommendations forward at a practical level to see what it would look like at a national level. There are three phases. Arup and Albert will run a workshop in February to discuss their findings and to see how Phase 3 might be implemented. So, in terms of where we are now, taking a cross-sectional approach around technologies and immersive approaches might be more interesting and innovative because that initiative is already being covered in the Film and TV industry.
