CSU’S ADVANCED EFFICIENT AND AFFORDABLE UNDERWATER PIPELINE INSPECTION SERVICE
For smooth and secure transportation of materials through the pipelines, operators should consider potential threats resulted from crack-line or crack anomalies in the structures. A trifling misinformation about cracks or leaks may cause imprudent action, leading to permanent pipeline failure.
Unidentified cracks are detrimental to the submerged structures and it often compromises the pipeline’s integrity. Usually positioned axially, operators detect these flaws as recurrent source of line failures.
The solution
Central States Underwater (CSU) has a range of tools for underwater pipeline inspection services. Ultrasonic Inline Inspection is one of the commonly used. ILI is widely trusted for its accurate crack detection and result. As far as integrity program is concerned, operators should always confide in advanced tools. One little crack, if left untreated, can cause permanent damage to the subsea asset.
CSU’s cutting-edge ‘Enhanced Sizing’ for crack detection helps eliminate depth sizing limitations that formerly occurred for depths above 4mm. We provide operators with the best and accurate data, further ensuring better positioned and easy to manage pipelines.
An insight into the background
Pipelines constructed before 1970s are now considered aged, for their external corrosion coating and metallurgical constituents are no longer effective, especially when compared to the ones of today. Some leaks on the structures even cause environmental adversities, if not detected and fixed on time.
Inspection performed using ROVs
Pipeline degradation and leaks can be avoided if there is a regular maintenance and inspection performed using ROVs. Repairing of a submerged pipeline structure typically requires planning, for example damage inspection, and further evaluation of the pipe’s conditions. A careful observation of the assets existing underwater is usually very difficult, especially when the water visibility is too low.
CSU has a range of units, equipped with internal LED flood light and external LED lighting that help track in collaboration with high resolution cameras. This, as a result, enables visibility even in the murkiest and darkest waters. Our internal cameras (4k) take out visual conditions of the pipelines in real-time, further helping the operators with historical records, focusing on the changes made over time, instead of depending upon a single day inspection report.
ROVs used by us are designed with ‘ease of using’ yet ‘efficiency’ of the tool in mind. These have advanced magnetic coupling, which further diminish the requirement of extensive training on their maintenance, and there is no need for greasing or oiling.
CSU takes pride in its line of underwater pipeline inspection in TX tools, for them being not just efficient, but exemplary in the vertical.
