/\ Rex nodded. "Everyone move to the side," he commanded. "They could be set up just behind that door, waiting to blast us to the next star system over."
Screw pressed up against the wall, watching Echo work. The ARC trooper counted down on his fingers.

/\ Screw's comm started flashing, signalling an incoming message. He glanced at Tup and Dogma, seated across from him at the mess table, as he pushed the button.
A brother's voice said, "Alright, everyone to the briefing room in ten minutes. We just received our new mission."
Screw shoved the rest of his food in his mouth as he grabbed his tray and followed his vode to dispose of it. Dogma led them into the hallway, all three donning their helmets.

They joined the flow of brothers heading to the large briefing room, finding seats on the hard grey benches next to Jesse, Hardcase, and Kix. Hardcase eagerly greeted them, and they could hear the Dominoes quarreling about something behind them.
Eventually, Captain Rex stood, quieting the boisterous troopers. "Listen up," he said. "All of you are probably aware that General Skywalker and Commander Tano are away on Jedi Council business. So, we've been assigned to another Jedi in the meantime. Everyone, meet General Valeria Eldar."
A short, blonde woman stood, wearing pieces of blue Mandalorian armor and with two lightsabers at her hips.
A Mandalorian? Screw wondered. I thought Jedi and Mandalorians didn't like each other. Well, I guess there is that one rumor about Obi-Wan. Eh. Whatever.

They would disorient the enemy, that's for sure. And depending on what material we use, and how much of it, it might potentially disrupt their footing. Plus, it obscures the enemy's vision. I'm rather proud of how this one worked. Oh, and it was quieter, too. Than a normal grenade.

/\ An explosion rocked the hallway with its loud boom. But instead of the usual flames and shrapnel bursting out of the hallway, there was a strong gust of wind, followed by droid parts and . . . confetti bits? All colors of the rainbow, shiny and charred.
Screw and Hardcase let out a massive whoop.
"IT WORKED!" Screw yelled.
"YEAH!!!" Hardcase shouted, jumping into the middle of the hallway opening and gunning down the few surviving droids.
"Take that, you clankers!" Screw beamed under his helmet as he picked off the last B1.
"So that's what that does," Fives said, chuckling.
"Nice work, boys," Rex said. "Let's get moving." The troopers ran down the hallway, Echo kneeling by the door panel.
"It'd be interesting if those could be used in actual open combat," he said as his quick fingers pulled out a wire.

/\ The hallway had been cleared of droids, and some clones had been dispatched to sweep the rest of the base.
Screw ran up ahead and peeked around a corner. His hand flashed a series of signs as he took stock of the hallway.
"Good," Rex whispered over comms. "How many?"
Eighteen, Screw's fingers said. This is good. Hardcase, ready?
Hardcase ran over, and Screw shushed him before he could speak. Hardcase nodded and pressed a grenade into Screw's hand. It was painted with a yellow, green, and pink design.
Screw suddenly pulled back, glancing at Val.

/\ "Get in there!" Rex yelled as the thunder of the gunships rumbled overhead, the cannons wiping out the advancing droids.
"Two teams, split and get to the control room!" Rex added. He darted to the right, and Screw darted behind Hardcase and Dogma. He briefly wondered where Tup was, but there was no time to ponder upon his brother's whereabouts, because a new wave of B1s advanced down the hallway, preceded by the robotic clanking of their feet.
"Give 'em hell, 'Case!" Screw hollered. Hardcase cackled and unleashed a wave of fire at the approaching droids. "You want a piece of this?"

Get ready to switch so we don't have to move the wounded." The gunship lowered to the ground, the doors sliding open.
"Move it!" Rex yelled, and Screw leaped out the doors and into a neighboring gunship, which was carrying both troopers and civvies. The civvies were leaving, going and clustering around the wounded man and his little girl. Screw cast another glance back at the girl as the doors shut.
