Everybody keeps saying that the MSG gives you headaches thing is a myth and yet whenever my dad eats something with added MSG or a dish that develops a bunch of it naturally he gets a massive migraine. A lot of Asian cooking and especially restaraunts adds bouillon powder to stuff and he just can’t eat that because it makes his head feel like it’s gonna explode.

That’s how it is with a lot of stuff with migraines I think. Everyone’s like nah it’s a myth that gives you migraines even though that thing does in fact give you migraines.

Like I’ve heard people go pfft stevia is a natural sweetener it can’t give you headaches and yet like clockwork every time I get a mystery migraine after eating something new I ask around about sweetners and like clockwork it’s the stevia. “I thought you couldn’t have artificial sweeteners” yeah well I’ve gotta be ultra specific about that I guess.

When Senshi was young in the dungeon the majority of the adults he were with ostracized him. All except Gillin, who died to make sure Senshi had something to eat: unseasoned boiled meat that may or may not have been one of their comrades.

It really puts into perspective why he was so nurturing towards Chilchuck. When Chil reveals he’s 28 to the party, Senshi responds by telling him that he thought he was older. Senshi was in his 30s when he and his comrades got trapped in the dungeon, so it’s safe to assume that he thought Chil was at a similar age.

He met a young boy who was, from his perspective, forced to do dangerous work in the dungeon just like he was, and so, Senshi made an effort to look after Chilchuck in the same way Gillin looked after him.

Mind you, when Senshi was young in the dungeon he had to starve for weeks, eat the horse he loved, and finish it off spending the next i don’t know how many years wondering if he committed cannibalism.

Senshi understands first hand the value of nutrition and proper eating, so when he’s with the party he makes an effort to make sure they’re all eating a full and balanced diet. Not only that, but Senshi INVOLVES them in the process of getting food to eat, always preparing it in front of them and narrating every ingredient in the process so that there’s no doubt about what they’re eating.

Cannot emphasise how OBSESSED i am with the Doctor being able to hear the show's backing music. Does he have favourites? Does he ever miss the funky classic who tunes?

Its giving Day of the Doctor novelisation, where the Doctor's vision changed when the show's colour grading did.

I love whenever they make allusions to the 4th wall or skirt near it. 1st Doctor talking to the people at home. 4th Doctor's laugh at the camera. 12th Doctor's monologues and playing of the Theme tune. Its all so wonderful.

But to put it in the forefront. To literally have him say " I Thought that was non-diegetic " (music not actually present in the world and only for the audience) to have him WINK at us.

It just occured to me that there's this great contrast between Thor's powers and his personality, at least in the MCU. Thor controls thunder, and thunder usually means storms, rain, and overcast skies. Yet his personality is very "sunny" and he's often considered a golden boy.

I quite like this interesting contrast, but the more I think about it, the more I understsnd why Thor is portrayed as more angry in various myths, because it's not that hard to associate thunder with anger.

One thing's for sure, Thor is very boisterous in both the myths and marvel's adaptations, and a boisterous personality does seem fitting for a thunder god.

A retelling of The Ugly Duckling, where instead of a swan raised by ducks, it's a peacock egg that ended up being hatched by a chicken, called The Most Annoying Rooster, where instead of being sad about being an ugly outcast, the little peacock goes around like Excuse Me Are You Not Aware Of How Fucking Fabulous I am? And everyone except his mom finds him supremely annoying. The hen who hatched him is just like "no fuck you, my huge fabulous son can beat the shit out of all of your sons, you're just jealous."

Then the farmer whose chickens those are notices that wait shit that Fancy Chicken is in the wrong place, and as he tries to remove the peacock from the chicken coop, he refuses to leave without the hen who hatched him. So being moved to a more appropriate place for a peacock, the hen comes with him. And for the rest of his life The Most Annoying Rooster lives happily ever after as an Only Moderately Annoying Peacock, and if any bigger bird tries to do anything to the little hen, he will peck its fucking eyes out, because that's his momma who was always there for him, so he's always there for her.
