I know the joke is that Riz has only ever expressed attraction to the Sexy Rat but honestly this is only more evidence that he is ace to me lmao. I don't think it's an exception to the rule, I think it's Riz trying to follow the rules. That is a dude taking his cues from Fig and Kristen because he heard Fig say "Sexy Rat" and was like "Got it, that's what sexy is supposed to mean" He's gonna get a good grade in Having A Crush, something that is normal to want and possible to achieve

The whole Gukgak family has a vice grip on my brain, so have some Sklonda.
So actually I'm having a lot of fun with designing my own interpretation of the Gukgaks, because I have always always always struggled with keeping Riz's hair consistent. And after some conversation with friends I think I've managed to come to a conclusion about it-
I think that a lot of my issue was trying to make him look as much like both Sklonda and Pok as possible, but also following through with the Timothee Chalamet hair bit. And for a while I was really struggling with that and then I remembered
"Oh yeah. People can change their hair."
So! I think that Sklonda naturally has very wavy hair, and when she took the detective job in Elmville she started straightening it. New job new me, trying to feel very professional and in charge, and it just became habit. When she quit the force she stopped the routine. Oddly enough this just made Riz look even more like her. Son like mother becomes mother like son

Does Luke know that he’s technically the rightful ruler of Mandalore? Maul had the Darksaber, which made him the rightful ruler. Then he was beaten in a duel by Sidious, who was beaten by Mace Windu, who was beaten by Anakin, who was beaten by Obi-Wan on Mustafar, who was beaten by Vader on the Death Star, who was beaten by Luke on Death Star 2.
can you imagine if Din found out tho

Women throughout (American and English) history worked. The idea that in the past the sole responsibility of women was domestic labor and childrearing is largely inaccurate for the majority of women in these societies. Women were expected to do domestic labor like cooking and cleaning and raising children AND work to bring income to their family, this was true for the average woman, excluding the upper middle class/wealthy. If a woman’s husband owned a tavern or restaurant, she also cooked and kept bar and did the duties associated with the business. If a woman’s husband was a (small scale/subsistence/tenant) farmer, the woman did farm labor. Often a woman was expected to do labor related to her husband’s job.
Women also had vocations and forms of income unrelated to their husband. The nature of these jobs changed over time but many women did things like weaving, embroidery, crafting, beer brewing, chicken tending and laundress work to bring income. Women with skills were seen as better marriage candidates because they’d make money for their husband.
My great-great-great-great grandmother told fortunes and did farm labor, my great-great-great grandmother was a midwife, my great-great grandmother worked in a textile factory for most of her adult life and my great grandmother was a school lunch lady.
This is why it makes me irate when women on the right say things like “feminism forced me to get a job instead of being allowed to stay home with my children” before feminism you would have had to tend house, raise your children and bring income to your husband. Now, at the very least, the money is hopefully your own. Women were always in the workforce, their work was not recognized.

okay i've solved it: cressida marries debling, eloise marries phillip, the four of them are in a poly relationship, phillip and debling go on expeditions together to research plants and birds while cressida and eloise do whatever they want (each other) at their homes

I HAVE A HOT TAKE: I don't think Eloise is a lesbian, she reads to me as kind of demisexual.
Idk, it just seems like Eloise doesn't become attracted to people by their looks, or their smell or anything like that, she becomes attracted after she gets to know them. The fact that she avoids the ton as much as she could means that she never formed any meaningful relationship to anyone else (except Penelope), hence romance being a confusing concept. AND THEN she met Theo in s2 and it seems as though it was the first time Eloise was attracted to anyone. THEN in s3, it's light but like...she's totally crushing on Cressida right?
I totally think Cressida is very closet lesbian (another one in the list of mean closeted blondes).
