But when Kyle came through the comms that he was hanging from a rope, his heart relaxed the tiniest bit. Just enough to continue on with the mission at hand.

But when they got to Alejandro's base, behind closed doors, he gathered Kyle in a very tight embrace. Not letting go despite Kyle's tiny whines and grumbles.

"Bloody hell, Kyle.. you gave me the biggest fuckin' scare of my life." He spoke lowly into the other's ear. Feeling relieved to see his sergeant here, safe and sound.

"Oh, come on~ it will take more than that to kill me, Cap." Kyle said softly, a small hint of amusement in his voice.

John only chuckled and shook his head, burying his face in the crook of his sergeant's neck. His heart is now at peace.
