Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Digimon Tamers began with a Digimon fanboy whose OC Digimon came to life?

Because I think about that sometimes and realize the show was even more relatable then I originally thought. We have a bunch of geeky kids, a seemingly all happy girl who goes through some serious grief depression, several account of character development, but also some all around fun when they’re not looking death in the face.
