Enlightenment Stupa of Benalmadena. Built and inaugurated in 2003, it is the largest Stupa in the West. Buddhists believe that wishes done near a Stupa may become true. Inside this one is a meditation hall and exhibition room, and is popular with tourists, as well as followers of Buddhism. Not to mention the incredible views along the coast from this elevated vantage point. #benalmádenapueblo #buddhism #costadelsol

#BenalmadenaCosta happens to have the prettiest Marina in the world. Its architecture mixes Indian, Arabic and Andalusian features and is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as residential apartments. Who wants to take a stroll? (at Benalmádena, Spain)

Swimming in the Churriana Lakes, Malaga, with my dog Keef looking on (he hates water!). That water was so clear and clean with huge fish swimming in it! Although everyone refers to them as lakes they’re actually reservoirs. The 3 giant reservoirs – known as the Conde del Guadalhorce reservoirs – are located about 30km north of the city in the Guadalhorce River valley.⠀ ⠀ So, who fancies a swim?

On a boat trip from Gibraltar to Morocco last year. One of the best things about travelling by motor yacht is waking up to views like this. ♥ what is your favourite view to wake up to? I'd love to see!

Carloforte is a fishing and resort town, located on Isola di San Pietro, one of Sardinia's prettiest towns, in southern Italy. Winding, cobbled streets lead to little gems round every corner, tiny bars and restaurants and pretty flower-adorned houses. Anyone else been here? (at Carloforte, Italy)

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” – Saint Augustine (pic from Pixabay, not my own!). #MotivationMonday. How many places have you been to? And how many still on your bucket list? I think I've only been to about twenty countries so far, so many, many more to go!

Malaga Cathedral. Affectionately referred to as La Manquita, loosely interpreted as "one armed woman" - because it only has one tower (when the original plans allowed for two, but they ran out of money!) Still, a very impressive example of Renaissance and Baroque architecture and well worth a visit!

Malaga skyline, loaded with historical and modern architecture and birthplace of Picasso (the Picasso Museum is a must-see!). I love this city and I am so lucky to live within half an hour of it, there is so much to see and do there.

Sailing into the sunrise on the Mediterranean. This was an epic trip I made from Sardinia, Italy down to Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol on a motor yacht - it was a great adventure!

Back to my 'thing about boats' theme... this is the Marina in Benalmadena Costa (my hometown). It is one of the best and most attractive marinas in the world.

The beaches at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. It was very windy, so the waves were rough and surfers were taking full advantage. If you ever go there, be sure to check out the Christopher Columbus Museum (Casa de Colon), it was amazing, with lots of original artifacts.
