Quick Semi-Hiatus

|| Um, hey guys. Long story short I’m moving into my own apartment on the 20th and school starts on the 22nd and I’m a producer for a game this semester and that’s going to take a lot of my time so quick semi-hiatus until I get everything moved in and the first week of school is over. After that I’ll still have spotty activity.

You can find me more on Rem since he likes to cooperate more than Kamui.

The man before Kamui wears armor like hers. Yet, she had never seen him around before.

“Excuse me, sir? Where did you get your armor from?” Maybe it was a popular style? She had no clue.

He... actually didn’t have anything in his hands! What a surprise! Nogi had truly seemed up to something bad, but with no evidence Kamui couldn’t punish him.

“Well then I’m sorry for doubting you, Nogi. I always knew you were a good kid deep down!” Giving him a big grin, she put a hand on his shoulder.

“Are you hungry? It’s getting close to lunch time!”

     “In my hands? Sure,”

Of course, there’s nothing in his hands. He’s too slick for his own good to hide something quick enough to keep it from being caught. A laugh held back behind teeth, he brings his hands up to open his palms, shimmying his hands this way and that.

     “See, Lady Kamui, I’ve nothing in my hands. I’m doing        nothing wrong.”

Ah, so that was why. Nodding, Kamui gave the other a soft smile.

“Sounds like something my father would do. I’m sorry your family had to be caught up in his... conquest.” 

“But it’s good that I ran into you! Now you can help us take down the enemy that’s making him act this way! Come on, join us!” She was quite serious. Nothing like someone who hated her father to drive the group forward towards Anarkos.

Opal stares forward, staying silent for a long while. There was more to that answer than she was willing to give up… and it was taking her a good amount of time to try and figure out just how to word it.

“… I, um…” she broke the silence for a moment, scratching her neck. Well, if she was to talk about this… better the princess than anyone.

“I was part of the Nohrian army. Under King Garon. After… my family had been killed for treason. I was the fastest blade in the entirety of the Nohrian forces. Perhaps discounting the nobles. Even still, I think I could best them. My death was ordered, so I left.”

She purposefully left out most of the details, and let out a soft sigh of relief. Good, she was able to get through that… but now, she was faced with the questions Kamui was sure to ask.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Opal!” Despite the other’s surly treatment of her, Kamui gave her a big smile.

She couldn’t help but laugh a bit, because how funny was this? After running away from Nohr she ran into someone from there! Out in the middle of nowhere!

“Why are you out here, then?” From what little she’d seen of the Nohrian common people, they didn’t seem to like the outside very much. So to see a Nohrian out here was a shock!

“Unless you’re surrounded by sellswords who have no care about anything but the gold they plan on getting with your death.”

Opal shook her head, crossing her arms now and glancing to Kamui. “You’re overly ambitious, you know. I’ve heard of this vision you have for the future… it’s hopelessly optimistic.”

She had no right to critique the princess… and she knew it. So, she let out a sigh, simply shaking her head.

“My name is Opal. I was of Nohr, for a while.”

“Camilla!” Upon seeing her older sister, Kamui’s face lit up. Smiling from ear to ear, she scampered over to the woman, wrapping her arms around her and giving her a tight hug.

“I missed you! I mean, I know you only went out for border patrol but I still missed you!”

“Uh-huh, sure.” She may not be the smartest of their group but she knows enough about the army’s members to know that she had caught Nogi in the middle of something troublesome.

“If you’re not doing anything wrong then you won’t mind showing me your hands.” She didn’t like having to be so authoritative, but she couldn’t afford to have more people out sick due to “pranks.”

His eyes are wide, fingers gripping tight on the vial hidden in his palm. If he hadn’t been caught, he would’ve been able to plant it in someone’s drink, someone’s food but no. He’d been caught off guard himself by the army’s leader. A soft  huff leaves his lips, russet eyes glancing to the side before he’s quick to tuck the vial into a hidden pocket on his clothes.

     “I have nothing and I wasn’t doing anything.”
