Cemetery Boys was absolutely amazing and I love everything about Yadriel and Julian so I had to draw these excellent boys!

“How much later?” Julian demanded, running after him. “Later later, or, like, drag-me-out-behind-the-church in-five-minutes later?”

Jesper would make Wylan special paint by taking the colors of things he knows Wylan likes. He just has these bottles of white paint and if Wylan is like “wow, that flower is such a pretty blue” he just snaps the color up and puts it in the paint.

Wylan realizes this and uses Jesper’s love for evil purposes.

hello I'm here again with another profoundly upsetting piece of meta; wylan calls his satchel a 'dead weight' when he's escaping miggson and prior in the canal, but because it has his flute and stuff are in it, he refuses to let it go, even though it's weighing him down. and when he climbs out of the canal he 'was afraid if he let himself close his eyes, he wouldn't have the will to open them again'. by contrast. kaz's 'dead weight' (i.e jordie's body) is what helps him survive, rather than weighing him down, but he does let go of it, and when he looks down at jordie, he thinks I should close his eyes but doesn't have the strength to get back down. feels to me as if wylan's satchel and refusal to close his eyes represents that his sense of self and decency survived the canal, and although he was changed, he still held onto who he was, whereas kaz... less so. possibly his inability to close jordie's eyes links to how he can't make his peace with it / put it to rest, whereas wylan can do that a little better (ofc it keeps affecting him but it doesn't dog him in the same way.) either way, the parallels between kaz and wylan are a little too on the nose in a lot of ways, but I find this one especially brutal :(

There could be a whole book about Wylan and Matthias hanging out and trading notes on how to handle their flirty bisexual Grisha partner bc it’s very clear neither one knows how to deal with it lmao

Wylan: he smiled at me and I think I died

Matthias: the trick is to not let them smell fear. The second they sense they are at an advantage they’ll do the thing where they touch your chin and that means you’ve lost.

Wylan: what if we do the chin thing?

Matthias: ….a bold move. Opposition instead of defense. Interesting.

Kaz: it took you two hours to realize you just need to flirt back?

Wylan: it’s a complicated situation! Is it not that way it works with you and Inej?

Kaz: No. I’m not dating a dumbass.
