No, no don't worry. I get it. [When her interest in his research was voiced, he gave her a small grin.] Depends on the day. Sometimes I help students at school with small medical issues, other times, I do research with my father in to the newest emergency medical technology. Before I start rambling, I don't believe we've met. [He held out a hand.] Doc Coleman. Or Asher. Depending on what you prefer to use, naturally.

In the library

[Persia immediately smiles upon seeing a better copy of the book she had in her hands. Placing her book down, she gently takes the one offered to her] Thank you so much. This book truly is a better copy, and really, once again, I’m sorry for not having realized that you were in front of me before. I think at the point where I was in the book, a whole marching band could have passed and I would not have even realized it. What type of research do you do? If it’s ok in me asking.

[He gave a small smile before holding his hand out.] I see. But I would like for a few other people to not see. Don't need anyone being mean and shoving you in. I'd hate to see Cadence go to jail for beating someone to death.

Me? Hardly.

Music? Well, if you ever want to practice with someone, I'm not too shabby on the piano. But yes, Pediatrics will probably be my choice. Why so interested in music? I'm sure you've got the talent

So your like a genius?

That’s really cool. I think pediatrics would be awesome, like helping little sick kids, it’s really just a nice thought. I’m not sure. I’m hoping I can do something with music, but… I don’t know.

[He watched them for a moment more before they step aside, allowing him to step in and work his magic quickly, lifting the handle, banging beside the lock twice and watching as the door opened quickly. He glanced over at them with a soft smile, stepping aside again before he murmured a quick apology.] Just keep that in mind for the next time. Though I'm sure you would've gotten it sooner or later. Just didn't want you to be late for class.

No— [they huff, still struggling with the lock] Thanks. [They try their best to ignore the other one’s presence, but fail miserably as they do with their lock. After another moment of struggling, they let out a sigh before harshly letting go of the lock. They step aside as an invitation for him to have a go at their lock, silently crossing their over their chest as they waited.]

You're quite welcome. [He gave her hand one small shake before he let go, tilting his head.] Well Holly, if you ever need help again, you can always find me in the Nurses office. I'm in there most of the time when I'm not in class. [He gave a small half grin.] And naturally if you need assistance with anything else relating to science, math, or health, I'm a pretty good hand too.

Oh, thank you very much. [she said in a deeply relieved tone as she watched her locker open. She took a note of how he opened her locker and hoped she would remember that trick herself in the future, in case the stubborn thing decided to stick on her again. She smiled back at him] Yes, thank you. I will try to remember how you did it so I can do it myself later.

Oh, no I don’t believe we have. [she glanced down at his hand quickly before slowly putting out her own] Holly Bae. It’s nice to meet you.

[He held his hands up innocently. Giving her a softer smile, he shrugged his shoulders.] You got it. Just offering a hand. [He stood there, observing for a moment before he simply attempted conversation.] And how are you, Adalia?

Asher, if you take another step towards me or this locker, I will stab you in the eye socket with my perfectly pink heels. [She gave him a glare over her shoulder.] Understood?

[Doc gave a small smile, shaking his head.] No, no. It's fine. Really. I just figured you'd want the better copy of that book. [Pulling it out of his arms, he extended it to her.] Leather bound and what not. [He grinned again before putting books back on the shelf.] It's alright. When I throw myself into research, I tend to be the same.

[Asher gave him a grin, nodding.] I'm sure you'll do exceptional, Henry. However, in the meantime, if the whole misplaced time thing gets worse, come see me. I'll keep up to date on some new methods for controlling them.

[He grinned appreciatively at Asher.]

Sometime, definitely. I’ll try not to let nerves get the best of me if that ever happens.

Absolutely. I'm great with science and math tutoring too.

That's the gist of it. Follow in my father's footsteps. Except instead of a Trauma Surgeon, I wouldn't mind cardiology or maybe even pediatrics. And what would you like to be when you're older.

Well until then, I know who to ask.

[Asher grinned to himself before he leaned on the locker beside her.] You know, if one were to offer up that you just lift the handle and bang on the door twice beside the lock, that wouldn't be help. Just a suggestion.
