It is important to sleep, Amari. A lack of sleep causes harm both mentally and physically. Your ability to remember and process information is impacted, for one.

Even just laying down and trying to rest is better than giving up on your sleep. And using a screen for an extended amount of time also doesn’t help.

I’d recommend making sure to keep a routine before going to bed, and to not drink anything like coffee or spend hours looking at a device before bed. Those can make it hard for someone to fall asleep.
