Last Night Was So Still

I had TWO candles burning on my altar. there was no wind at all. Today its pretty windy - but I'm still headed to my swing. I left myself a reminder on my phone - "Turn off tumblr and go through pictures." I have THOUSANDS upon thousands of pictures of students on my phone - I warned parents I would be going through my phone this weekend and sending pictures.

--the computer powered down whil eI typed this so I took it as a sign--

TWO HOURS LATER:

I am DIZZY I've been listening to a podcast and deleting pictures NONSTOP and I know I'm not done- or close to done.

Man - going back over the past year via pictures has been a REAL eye opener. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH HELL THIS YEAR.

Glass of Wine Number Two

okay SO

I thought a bit about demon possession - REALLY wondered if there could be a story of some kind about parents taking their young adult son to The Lavern Healing Post seeking a cure for Demon Possesion and Peter and the Disciples...

...find out hte demon is being tortured by this kid and free it?

...find out the the demon and kid are madly in love and don't want to be parted?

something something something. But I just didn't really see how it would work.

THEN DEAD BOY DETECTIVES and I'm thinking demon possession again. Something like this:

Cute Nerdy Bookish Tony is an accademic, looking at haunted houses. He is at a NEW site which is CERTAINLY a haunted house - VERY recent reports of people saying they were possessed, suddenly going crazy, making suden accusations about the family that lived there (veyr rich family owning the house for generations, england? America? If England, writing Peter with Tom Holland's english accent)

Tony is staying at the house, but there are A LOT of peole there (the house is being renovated, or there is filming there about the Haunting) and gets the attention of a younger boy. "Benjamin" he says his name is, but his presesnce is mysterious - is he with the fimling crew? The renovation crew? He's probalby someone' s son or nephew or brother... but he makes statemtns that make it sound like he's related to the original family that owns it...

(maybe he ISN'T mysterious, tony thinks, maybe Tony was told who the boy was and didn't pay atteniton he is forgetful especially when he is hyperfocused on a project - he is researching ALL the family secrets, there was so much drama and early death and tragedy etc. etc.

There are multiple portraits in the portrait hall. Benjamin bears a sriking resemblance to Peter Benjamin Parker, the last son of the original owner, who died in prison for terrible crimes. Benjamin MUST have been a distant cousin, maybe he told Tony, Tony can't remember.

...people warn Tony to be careful... other poeple investigating the house went mad, were actually hospitalized... demon possesion is what everone says...

He knows young "benjamin" is flirting with him. He's just awekward and flustered and not really capable of flirty banter.

Which is not to say he does NOT know what to do when handsome Benjamin comes to his room [its been a brutally hot day, and he asks to cool off in Toiny's shower... or was it a brutally ocld day??? He asks to utalize the hot water in Tony's shower, then suggests they shower together because the hot water wont last long]

Tony is nerdy and bookish, but not inexperienced. There were MANY boys just like him at Yale and he's happy to take the boy to bed.

(Getting naked is slighly complicated - tony has scars from a bad accident travling abroad - his lover assures him he's seen MUCH worse)

BUT THINGS DONT GO AS PLANNED - after some tender hawt sex Benjamin (who reveals, when the tenderness begins, asks Tony to call him by his first name, Peter) pushes Tony down on his back and growls "THATS NOT WHAT I WANT."

Well this isn't the first time Tony has bottomed, certainly, he just didn't think the lovely young twink was expecting that, and also he must have fallen asleep because the encounter, while sexual, was also much like an out of body experience and at somepoint Peter is just GONE. He seems to have dissapeared INTO TONY but that was clearly just a dream.

The next day swet, unassuming, bookish Tony starts correcting - LOUDLY AND RUDELY -- the tour guides to thw house as they try to tell the story about the Saintly Patron that was a that inherited the whole place, a Trusted Friend of Peter Benjamin Parker 1. He suddenly knows LOTS of things - everything about Peter II, his hobies, his interests, how he felt and where he was when he learned about his parents passing, how he felt about the aunt and uncle that raised him and where/when he was when thap assed away - EVERYTHING. How Peter's main "crime" was being in love wiht a boy his age, Harry Osborn, and how that "crime" was the type of crime that was usually ignored in walthy families - how the men Peter alegedly murderd were hired guns (knives?) sent to kill him - YES they were brutally murdered but they were brutal men - Quenin Beck was NOT a Trusted Family Friend of Peter I but an interloper who produced a manufactured Will that made him executor but it was fabricated and autheticated by bribed officialls etc. etc. etc.

Finally, Tony secludes himself in a locked room. He ignores Peter's demands - some beating/bashing/woobyflying occures as Peter pummles him but he refuses to leave the room.

FINALLY, when Peter calms down, Tony talks.

He is not objecting to the possession (especially if it means getting justice for the Parker family) but he has ground rules.

1, he demands the spirit identify itself - it is CLEARLY NOT Peter II, tony suspects it IS the thing tha allowed sweet, innocent Peter II to brutalize the men sent to kill him.

2, they both went to Yale?!?!?! Anyway he's prefectly happy to tell the world the REAL story of how the Becks became owners of the estate, but THE SPIRIT HAS TO COOPERATE.

The spirit AGREES he possesed the original, late Peter Parker II, but asks to be called Peter anyway, because they were essentially one, and together most of Real Peter's life.

3 sweet loving sex ensues - Peter (still asking to be called PeteR) ask Tony to make love to him - tony reminds him of the stern professors at yale tha the has such a crush on - hawt pron etc. etc.

4 Tony explains that they are getting in his car tomorrow and DRIVE. He's not going to be seen talking to himself like a madman - they're going on a road trip and Peter explain all the details, explain what he wants in terms of revenge for the original Peter Parker, and, more importantly, THEY WILL COME UP WITH A PLAN.

21 minutes!!!

So since I can't do the play this summer (Twelth Night!!! AAAAH! They texted me from auditions asking me if I was coming <3) I PROMISED myself lots and lots of Starker.

What I want to TRY for is the SHORT kind - the one chapter kind - short hawt and sweet and to the point. I NEED to get back to the one-shots. Quantity over quality - well, quantity over LENGTH.

WHICH IS NOT TO SAY that I don't want to

wirte the last chapter of Familiar which is all in notes but ready to go

write more of Bedwarmers, also in notes

and

3. write out Teachers Pet that CutePanda and I wrote a while ago, THAT is the one I'll need art for - starting with some Romance Accademia and ending with two well-dressed good looking professors who drive expensive cars.

THAT will be a loooong multi-chapter one - did I mention there are tornadoes?

ANYWAY that is the plan.

AND MY ONE-SHOT LIST IS BULGING its all on Google Docs - all marked SUMMER PROJECT.

So I ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT going to have any wine until it was ALL over (moving included - that would be FRIDAY!!!) but I threw caution to the wind and broke out the wine because

me and my husband negotiating me taking the pickup truck to Ardmore to see my mother's family.

My electric car cant make the trip and they dont have charging stations everywhere just yet.

His pickup truck made it to Plano Texas in 3 hours to see the eclipse (he drives like a madman) but now he's worried about it making HALF that trip to Ardmore.

I said "I won't even drive 90 miles an hour - I'll drive sweetly and politely."

It's just an anxiety issue with him - he's okay with it this morning. But I am trying to appreciate it from his point of view.

yes yes YES. I'm all about asking picky questions that aren't supposed to be asked. And yeah, the ghost girl would know SOMETHING about where her best friend was from/doing in London/had for family.

AND WHAT IS "Payment?" They make a big deal of it when they talk to the ghost girl, but we never find out what "payment" means.

NO NO NO essays are EXACTLY what I want!!!

okay here is the thing - THE SHOW IS NOT CONSISTANT AT ALL. Because YES, he DOES touch the medium's hand. But also - did you notice the whole comedy with the books? Edwin can't move from the mirror, so he's ordering Charles to go find books, then orders Charles to READ the books to find the right piece of information...

...and then the book is in America. If the book can move through the mirror, why not have Charles just hand Edwin as many books as he needs? The girl is renting a MASSIVE room (and btw what is she doing for money?!?!) and there is pleanty of room for those books. Also, WHY NOT JUST MOVE THE MIRROR IN THE OFFICE to where Edwin can reach the books?

OKAY I HAVE 24 MINUTES BEFORE

I have to get ready for bed. Ooops I haven't done ANY of MY schoolwork yet - oh well.

I HAVE been working for HOURS on a reluctant 11th grader's homework - man I know LOTS of details about Eisenhower and the Cold War and Macarthyism than I did before (thats why I LIKE helping him with his history homework) but his English has been BRUTAL. His English teacher assigned 3 COUNT THEM 3 writing assignments about Sports Journalism?!?!?!?!?

Excuse me?!?!? Make me read a dozen Shakespeare plays before you make me read a single paragraph of a sports news conference. Which I had to read to write a summary paragraph about - there was NO POINT in "making" him do it because (a) there is no way to MAKE him do it and (b) I'm sure that would be prevented by Article 3 of the Geneva Convention. And I JUST NOW wrote 150 words about a Sports Journalist and I think I'm owed compensation. (actually what HE does for ME is take all my data about which student knows which Upper Case/Lower Case/Sound of the alphabet and puts it all on a chart for me - he likes this kind of data crunching and has done it before.)
