OKAY I KNOW I SAID I WAS GOING TO BED BUT ALSO. thrall is only like 19 as of origins and is not only trying to cope with the brutal murder of his sister (the only person he’s ever truly trusted at that point) as well as his heavily traumatic childhood that he’s only just escaped from, but also getting a handle on his magic, AND trying to prove to a world he was deliberately hidden from that he isn’t a monster

also in terms of dao i think thrall vibes the Most with cousland wardens because he can empathize rlly well with highever and howe and that betrayal, as well as being ushered into a role of responsibility afterwards that they never cared for
