He probably sees himself as a better version of Jawbone, but I think he’s kept up at night by a hatred of Gilear. Like given the exact parts of his plan he has to hate this sad man who just has jobs that would have obviously been his given to him.

do love that we're at ep 19 of a 20 episode season and we know porter's motivations for his evil plot in detail, but for jace the primary driving force behind his actions seem to be that he's just... a messy bitch who lives for drama? bored out of his mind with not having anything to do "teaching" sorcery classes? was he lusting after porter & then found himself babytrapped by a goon squad of lethal 16-17 year olds? what is his DEAL im so intrigued.

adaine's denim jacket is a mental illness/trauma recovery staple, actually. she wears that jacket every goddamn day and it has fluffy pockets and probably mysterious stains and tears that are a reminder of the life she's lived. a tear from catching on one of gorgug's tin flowers that she wore like a corsage on prom night. a yoghurt stain from gilear that really was powerfully resistant to cleaning, as much as she tried. a pulled seam from kristen shoving her whole buff arm into a pocket to get ecaf out. an extravagant embroidery of her name sewn onto the inside of the collar by cathilda in fabian's calligraphy. an abjurative ward burned into the denim by aelwyn who never learned to sew. an eternally damp spot on the shoulder where boggy cuddles up still wet from the aquatic portion of his backpack. a missing chunk of wool taken by riz for 'analysis' that was really stuffed into a baggie and pinned on a conspiracy board. a tiny unicorn created from fig's illusion in the nightmare forest that seemed to stay real even after leaving the forest prancing about the inner world of the jacket. a pocket in the ethereal realm just so that ghostly edgar the rat can curl up in it without phasing through it. an 'in memoriam' patch sewn in to commemorate the jacket-world person who sacrificed his life to give her a wand of ray of frost in freshman year. a little uplifting message written in ballpoint pen on the inside of her cuff during class. a smattering of wolf hairs that persist no matter how hard she tries to brush them off and keep ending up in her mouth somehow, although she keeps politely quiet about the occasional grey she finds on her shoulders.

Rewatched parts of ep 19 to fact check for a fic and I hadn't noticed on first watch that Ivy's accent changed from Garthy's to something closer to Aelwyn's

You'll pry Leviathan-born Ivy from my cold dead hands and I know, Occam's Razor, BLeeM probably just forgot her accent bc it had been like 10+ episodes since she last showed up let alone spoke

But I'm also laughing at the idea of Ivy trying to honey pot Fabian by faking a Leviathan accent and persona and dropping it when he picked Mazey and that plan fell through. Like the dedication to the bit would be so fucking hilarious, can you imagine Ivy doing her own Wanda Childa but by pretending to be from a pirate background and no one picking up on it let alone Fabian

do you ever see a person and you are overcome with incredible fondness? and you just think "oh." but not in a romantic or sexual way you are just filled with warmth and it makes you happy, it just does. and you think "i'm so happy you exist. i'm happy you are somewhere out there in the world, doing your thing". it's love but also not entirely

of course brennan’s vip ep was an art house film about the metaphor of the self through the lens of false dream logic and time loops delivered by a wild man from the woods who is also a physicist from Newfoundland who carries around rocks in a briefcase that he has to hatch and doesn’t know the word alligator but does know the words centrifugal force and is afraid of bowls. of course.

anyway i want to reiterate that i hope the rat grinders are tpk'd, revived and uncorrupted solely bc i want them to have to spend senior year together. 'redeemed' doesnt necessarily mean friendly with the bad kids and honestly? its so much funnier if they continue being bitchy to each other but without the trying to end the world stuff. they've built plenty of positive relationships w/ former villains now it's time for the next stage: uneasy alliance buzzing with the tension of both sides trying to hold back the urge to clown on each other
