It’s the darkest hour, you’re 22
The voice of youth, the hour of dread
It’s the darkest hour, and your voice is new
Love is lost, and lost is love

Never run back to what broke you.
Remember this, no matter how much you think going back will make you whole again, no matter how hard it is and the courage it takes, do not look back on your past, you can’t re write the ending. (via brokenpromisesanddbrokenhearts)

I’m not interested in the romanticized version of people, but what they actually are. Not because that’s all dark, but because it’s a lot of things. It’s generous and empathetic, and it’s also vile and crass. We’re all these conflicting things melted into one. I feel like a student of human nature. I like to explore what it actually is, because that’s more interesting than rainbows and butterflies. People are weird! There’s nothing as weird as a person.

You become more comfortable in your own skin and grow more yourself with time. Honestly, it’s nice not to give a fuck - it’s a really great place to be. Kim Gordon said famously that people go to rock shows to see somebody believe in themselves for an hour. I think that’s right on.
