As we left the glen, I felt the reality of what had just happened sink into me.
“You’re shaking,” he said.
“I’m not used to people trying to kill me.”
“Really? I hardly notice anymore.”
I turned to look at him. That trace of a smile was still there, but I wasn’t entirely sure he was kidding.

Necklace — Logan Delos
(little drabble of logan x oc)
Caroline admired her reflection in the mirror. She couldn’t get over how amazing the dress she was wearing was. She didn’t want to go to the event tonight but as Logan’s assistant – babysitter – and with his constant insistence on her coming, she had no choice but to attend. Since arriving at Westworld, she’d let him run free and do whatever it was he desired alone but he was hellbent on her being at the ball.
The only conclusion Caroline could come to was that it must’ve been for Logan’s image. Tonight, for whatever reason, he wanted to look respectable. A girl, despite being his assistant, on his arm was a good look. She didn’t want to go, not wanting to be branded Logan’s plaything as that was what everyone in the real world thought of her. She didn’t want to hear about it in Westworld too. As much as he wanted her to be his plaything, it was never going to happen.
“You look beautiful.” Logan appeared in Caroline’s eyesight, his reflection right behind hers. He was leaned against the doorframe, his dark eyes watching her intently.
“Thanks.” Caroline’s relaxed posture was now rigid and she was glaring at him from the mirror.
“I’ve got a gift for you,” Logan said, a necklace dangling in his hand.
Caroline couldn’t imagine how much the necklace costed. The dress was costly enough and although the necklace was pretty, she couldn’t wear it.
“I can’t,” Caroline objected. “The dress is more than enough.”
“What I say goes and if I want you to wear the necklace, you’re wearing the necklace,” Logan demanded, getting closer and closer to Caroline until the back of her body was pressed close to the front of his.
Sighing, Caroline knew there was no way out of it. Her job was to appease Logan in almost every way and if this was going to make him happy, she had to do it. Gritted teeth and all. Moving her hair to the side, she watched as Logan put the necklace on her. It was beautiful. So beautiful and it went perfectly with the dress. It must’ve been Logan’s womanising ways that made his taste in women’s clothing and jewellery so impeccable.
Logan’s hands lingered a little longer then they should’ve on Caroline’s shoulders but she found herself welcoming his touch. She even relaxed a little. He was handsome, that much was obvious, but every now and then she’d notice just how handsome he was. He was a smug asshole but one who knew exactly how good looking he was. He essentially had the world at his feet. All the money, the looks and women and men for his taking.
“How many other women have you gifted necklaces?” The petty comment left Caroline’s mouth before her brain realised it.
“None as stunning as you,” Logan’s smooth reply came swiftly.
Caroline rolled her eyes, not believing one word that came out of Logan’s mouth. He knew what to say and who to say it to but she was having none of it. He could charm the pants off anyone except her which irritated him to no end. But it would make it all the more satisfying when she eventually gave into her secret desires for him.
