Samantha was the youngest born to the Hill family, as the only girl she often competed with her older brothers. Her family has connections to Starfleet going back as far as the very beginning. Her parents taught their children to respect their heritage and to honor it. She took those lessons to heart. Growing up, she was a bit of a tomboy, and often hung out with her older brothers (Chris, Shawn, and Michael) instead of playing with the girls in her neighborhood. As a teenage her father took his boys along with Sam, to go hunting. There she learned skills in survival and strategy. Something she took to more naturally than the feminine ones her mother taught her. Her parents taught her to take pride in her heritage. Because of this, she often sees herself as “the youngest soldier in the family”. When she came of age, she decided to join Starfleet along with her older brothers.

While at the academy she saw herself on the fast track to a good command position once she graduated. She was a diligent student who was often coming off a stiff to her friends. In combat training, she excelled in hand-to-hand and is quite skilled in various weapons. When she did let her hair down, she dated a number of cadets, both male and female. During her final year, her older brothers Chris and Michael were on Farragut when it was sent to investigate Vulcan while it was being attacked by rogue Romulans. When she found out what happened to her brothers, she was devastated. After that she was placed on the Enterprise where she was given a command position, though now she’s can’t enjoy it because the loss of her brothers.

She has a decent working relationship with Donnie, though she thinks he’s a tad too lazy for her taste, and she has a deep respect for Uhura. She finds Jesús Olivera to be a fun guy to hang out with.

Hey guys! First of all, thanks so much for 6+ months of activity. I know a lot of you have been on and off, but we (including the admins) all have commitments, so please don't feel bad about it.

Anyway, because of said commitments we haven't been able to get the ball rolling for many of the plots we have planned. As breaks approach, we definitely are going to set some things into action, so please stay tuned.

In the meantime, I thought it would be a good idea to update character relationships. This is just so everyone can be up to speed, and is also a good activity check. Send in an ask/submission to us with a quick revision of your character's relationship section; it can be as long as you want.

If you think you don't have much to add to your character's bio, we encourage you to be adventurous! We're all down to plot pretty much all the time, so hit us up in the group Skype, or send an ask.

Sira was told only moments after he was conceived that any traces of his mother disappeared along with her, something he did not give much thought until years later. Fortunately, he was found by a woman who saw in him the children she could never have. Despite his initially volatile demeanour augmented by his lack of control over his shape-shifting abilities, he learned to care for her deeply, and his life carried on as normally as possible.

But it was too good to last long. His adoptive mother died of natural causes, leaving him alone and overcome with anger as a result of yet another unfair turn in his life. Sira’s teenage years were not easy ones, as he often became involved in trouble and fights, sometimes with the wrong people. However, he carried on as best as possible. Especially, he became good at covering his tracks whenever it was necessary, and in turn tracking others as well, reading, studying and learning from them while leading a relatively normal life in the world he had been abandoned in.

The older he grew, the more he realized staying in Luna was unacceptable, contrary to what he had dreamed of when only a child. And so, although not as hard-studying as the rest of the students in the Academy and not as devoted to the entirety of Starfleet, taking the position of a security officer in a stable organization offered more opportunities to be a quiet observer, interact only when necessary and perhaps a chance to find an identity of his own and a place among the rest.

Sira is pretty fond of Kiara Franklin and Gretchen Wozniak; which is probably related to a harbored crush which he has yet to acknowledge. He admires Daniel Hadley, but is slightly intimidated and sheepish around him.

Toni was born into a family of safe and responsible people. They partook in safe and responsible activities in their safe and responsible house, all while living in their safe and responsible little town. No karate lessons, only piano sessions, no ballet because, “Have you seen those girls’ toes?” and the walls were painted eggshell, never white. God forbid the brightness of sunshine on such a color would ruin the 20/20 eyesight of their adorably cloistered children who were destined to grow into - you guessed it - safe and responsible adults.

She started to follow in her siblings’ rebellious footsteps, delving into what had one been considered forbidden and inaccessible. Her first endeavor? Not ballet — because to this day the mental picture of ballerina feet is enough to make her cringe — but karate. And tae kwon do. Kickboxing. And whatever fighting style she could find a teacher for. For years, her siblings covered her tracks, saying she was taking extra tutoring sessions or joining social-academic clubs, and for years, it worked.

It was only after she’d been accepted to Starfleet (and many, many uncharacteristically loud arguments) that her parents realized that maybe — just maybe — they couldn’t help but let their children go. Even if the weren’t going off to do safe and responsible things.

Susana Piedad’s seemingly constant state of cheeriness makes her one of the only medical personnel Toni can stand. Andrea is somewhat precious to her, reminding her of the blind sort of ignorance she used to live in (though she irks her on occasion for the same reason). James Kirk, though no one she would go out of her way to talk to, tickles her silly, but also sparks a certain curiosity.
