i want tommy calling buck soft pet names. i can't imagine any of his past girlfriends calling him anything other than 'babe', and i don't know if tommy's a 'darling', 'sweetheart', or a different pet name kinda guy, but i just know that buck would LOVE it. he would do that cute little head duck + shy, pleased smile combination of his the first time tommy uses one on him, and probably be a blushing and stuttering mess as he assures tommy that he likes it. wants him to say it again.

getting emotional about bobby and buck being father and son. and thinking about buck having an off day. no reason for it- he just wakes up sad. it happens sometimes.

and i don't know the inbetween, but at some point eddie and chris stop by, because of course they do, and chris spends five minutes with buck before declaring (with buck out of earshot) to eddie, "we need to call bobby." and eddie's confused, asks, "why, bud? did buck say something about wanting to call him?" and chris is just like, "no, but he needs to be here. we need to call him," like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

and so they do. and bobby comes, because of course he does. and buck answers the door with a surprised, "b-bobby? w-what are you doing here?" but with a smile bigger than anybody else has been able to win out of him all day. and bobby probably makes some excuse about needing bucks help with or wanting to show him a new recipe or something. and so they're in the kitchen, eddie and chris sitting at the counter, watching as buck slowly comes back into himself, small smiles and laughs, joking and talking, relaxing and breathing easier than he has all day as bobby squeezes his shoulder.

eddie turns to chris, asks quietly, always finding something to be in awe of his kid about, "how did you know, buddy?"

"sometimes, when i'm sad, all i need is a hug from my dad- or my buck. i thought that maybe buck just needed a hug from his dad, too."

i would really love to see tommy getting to witness competent buck. because while it's obvious he has a thing for idiots, i think he would also try and bend buck over right then and there if he got to see him being the level of competent we all know buck can be.

like, they're on a date or something and something happens. a minor fire. a car accident. i don't know, but buck just jumps right into action. getting everything under control, making sure everyone's okay, giving orders- ordering tommy (who might be malfunctioning at how hot his boyfriend is, but is still a firefighter, too, so of course he jumps in to help) and afterwards, once everything has calmed down, tommy's like, "that was so hot. i am so attracted to you right now." and smashes their mouths together.

may i suggest an idea for a appropriately minor hurt for buck that tommy can fuss over this bisexual season: papercut.

after inspecting buck's finger like he'd managed to cut it off instead of just get a however annoying, only minor cut, tommy would bring it to his lips to kiss it better and buck would be a stuttering and blushing mess for the rest of the day.

i DON'T want the buckley parent's to be homophobic/biphobic. i want buck to continue to have the most gentlest and safest coming out experience ever because he deserves nothing less. HOWEVER, i would like to see margaret and philip buckley continue with their very own special brand of shitty parenting in other ways, and for tommy to get a 'lil protective over him. maybe place a grounding hand on the small of buck's back as he gives the calmest, smoothest 'fuck you' to the buckley parents, and then maybe place a little smooch on buck's lips afterwards to cheer him up.
