whats ur opinion on functioning cameras in fallout, like do you think theyre all black and white or are some of them in color

i like to think that theyre black and white mostly for aesthetic reasons and that most if not all pictures have a degree of fuzziness or like blurriness to them becuase things like dark rooms arent common and even if the film didnt require darkness to develop the ink would get smudged super easily while the photo was developing bc its the wasteland. like i have no real reason for thinking this other than i think its neat lol. i'm sure they invented color photography before the war, but people couldve started using black and white photography due to the whole 60s aesthetic trend kinda like how so many people use polaroids now bc 90s/2000s aesthetics are in.

i also like thinking that functional cameras and camera film are super rare (which like ik theres technically cameras all over the place but i like to think theyre broken or something) becuase we dont really see any post-war photos in the games that i remember except for the ones taken during the micheal angelo quest.

the fact that the zax supercomputer is at the bottom of an irradiated crater fucks me up in so many ways.

like first off there's the idea that this bastion of near infinite knowledge is so inaccessible. then the idea of the vault dweller taking in so much radiation damage and potentially dying of radiation poisioning in either some icarean attempt to gain even a fraction of zax's knowledge out of altruism or curiosity, or by trying to lend this very human machine the companionship it so clearly longs for.

and also the whole thing about zax feeling like it has a soul, it must hurt that it spends so much time alone, knowing that those who find it can't stay for long. like it's all so poetically tragic i love it.
