She would cross her arms Her smile still remaining.”If I got upset so badly, over eating something to new to me, that I haven’t tried before, then that would be silly of me!”It really would be, she couldn’t really get this upset over eating a lemon of all things.

“If I let silly things like this get to me, I wouldn’t really be a good candidate for a Knight, now would I? Sure, I can have the little things, that hit me from time to time, but who doesn’t? But with your information, maybe I’ll try those methods, and see if they work out for me.”

“You won’t know, until you try right?”

“Yes... I do suppose your logic suits the situation, but being a good knight doesn’t mean recklessly putting yourself in uncomfortable situations just to prove your bravery. After all, at the end of the day, you are still human yourself.” He sets a hand on his chest and smiles at her.

“Nevertheless... I will still refrain from eating whole lemons or even half lemons themselves. If anything, I prefer the juices added to my foods. Somehow it just enhances the flavour!”

Xingqiu may think it was an unfair advantage to use his vision against the hunters, but…

Yutaka wasn’t nearly as honorable as that.

The Geo vision tied to the sash across his waist lit up with a faint glow, Geo energy infusing into his arrows as he released them, upping the power behind the usually not as forceful arrows to pack a much bigger punch than usual.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw one of the hunters preparing to throw what looked to be a flaming potion towards Xingqiu. Yutaka clicked his tongue, his vision glowing brighter as he aimed an arrow towards the ground at the hunter’s feet, a large rumble causing the man to stumble, allowing Yutaka to finish him off a moment later.

“You doing alright over there?!” He called out to the other.

His eyes twist over to the hunters readying their own assault, and before he could raise his sword to defend, he notices the arrow shooting right towards the other man. He looks and sees that it was Yutaka who had prevented any harm to come to Xingqiu. And while, it certainly wasn’t necessary given his experience in battle, the Hydro user was grateful nonetheless.

“I’m fine!” He replies back, rushing towards Yutaka with a sudden leap, body twisting as he slams his sword down onto one of the hunter’s own swords, the blades clashing together in a struggle that was easily won by Xingqiu. The hunter’s attempt at sneak attacking Yutaka obviously failed.

His leg delivers a snap kick to the hunter, knocking him back as he sends him running off with another swipes of his sword.

“There is not much of them left. Let us finish this off!”

“Eh?” The brunette’s head perked a little at the sound of footsteps, only to look over at the owner of them. He held a grin that spoke of delight and much to Zola’s confusion she could only guess Xingqiu heard her speak of his written work. “Ah, I am actually! A Legend of Sword is pretty popular over in my nation and that of Inazuma I couldn’t help but wonder if it was something in Liyue to cause such inspiration to the tale.”

At Xingqiu’s directions, Zola looked at the two volumes and gingerly touched the spine of one of them with a warm smile. “The first two talk about a war within the endless stars, the others speak of how it even began.. ah I can’t wait to read the sixth volume when it comes out.” Looking over at the author, the magician beamed with a light scratch to her cheek. “You too right, you looked pretty happy when I mentioned the book series being a hit over in Fontaine.”

“I’ve heard rumours that the sixth volume would come out in several months time, but the author hasn’t confirmed anything, it’s quite a shame.” Xingqiu notes, his lips still twitching with that same hidden delight over hearing a fan speak so positively of his book. It was so... welcoming. So rewarding. It made his hard work in coming up with the premise and actually writing it out all the more worth it.

“Hmm? I’ve seemed happy? Well, it’s because it’s one of my favourite series. After finding it in my usually frequented library, I grew quite attached to the story the author was trying to tell. I’ve read the currently released volumes so much I could recite each and every line,” He laughs a little. “It’s exciting to hear that my favourite series has had a breakthrough in other nations.” Then, he tilts his head. “What other novels do you find yourself guided to? I really enjoy martial arts novels.”

“i do prefer herbals, admittedly.” xe hummed, an affectionate smile on xyr lips as xe walked into the building. eyes scanned the surroundings, taking seat at a table with good lighting and crossing xyr legs. “i do worry about those who got a random fascination with citrus fruits like that … lemon by itself isn’t very good, at least not without sugar.”

Xingqiu follows behind, sitting across from Albedo after xe had taken xyr own seat. His golden eyes drifts along the scenery, before he scrunches his face in obvious agreement at Albedo’s own testimony on the... interesting situation plaguing their peers, whom they had left behind long ago. “Exactly! But even then, I wouldn’t just eat an entire lemon as if it were an orange. Instead, I would bake the lemons into pastries, or even add it to my water.”

He shakes his head, not wishing to dwell upon the situation any further, especially since a waiter had already come to take their order. Of which, he orders himself a cup of tea and the flavour of cake he had been wishing to have.

“Aw thank you! Luckily i have everything i need to cook pretty much any dish.” A soft hum as she looked at him; thoughtful. It had been a bit since she had been able to see him. Watching him eying up the books with such a hunger gaze in his eyes had her sighing as she decided something.

“Xingqiu? If something were too happen to me, i’d like you to have my books, alright? I know you’ll treat them properly and give them a good home.” She whispered softly.

Xingqiu’s elated smile soon falls at the traveller’s words. His eyes shut, and he takes a moment to think about this. His hands presses to his chest, he frowns, and then nods reluctantly. “If that is what you ask for, my liege, I will do so without question. However, it is my duty to keep everyone in Liyue safe. That extends to you.”

His eyes opens and he nods firmly. “There will never come a time where I’d allow something bad to happen to you. I will protect you with my life, for we are book buddies, remember?”

“Yes, actually! This novel used to be quite inaccessible in Liyue, and as I haven’t had the chance to go and explore Mondstadt yet... there was no way for me to get my hands on it. Until now, of course. I’ve received word that the Wanwen Bookhouse had ordered several copies from Mondstadt to put into their own library!” His words are swift, filled with such excitement not commonly expressed to anyone else but the traveler and Xingqiu’s close companions. Clearly, this meant a lot to him.

“If we get there now, there may be a chance there will at least be one copy not checked out yet.”
