One of the most underappeciated lines in the series is when Jacob’s like “but BELLA I’m a WEREWOLF and he’s a VAMPIRE we’re dangerous!!!” And she just screams “well guess what Jacob?? I’m a fucking virgo!!” honestly? iconic

Not here for any "African Witch" aesthetics
Y'all gotta get specific. There are over 50 countries, 300 cultures, and thousands of types of magick on the Continent. Figure it out. Unacceptable.

while it is tempting to squeeze witchcraft into every little aspect of your day, know also that you are not expected to reach some quota in order to maintain some status as a witch. it’s alright to go days, even months without doing anything magical.
it’s good to do magic to help you along in every day life. but dont stress yourself out trying to make every action a spell. taking some time to be mundane does not invalidate you as a witch.

We talk about interpersonal abuse a lot, but how often do we abuse ourselves with deusional thoughts and harmful inner-dialogue? Don’t forget to be kind to yourself. It will help you be kind to others.

My cousin has a copy of the Torah and he isn't jewish but agnostic. This made me remember a character of "V for Vendetta" who had a copy of Quran because he liked the content and the poetry of the text, even if he wasn't muslim (the same reason my cousin have the Torah). I've never had a problem with that, i also found it pretty cool, but then i read the post about collecting jewish things and i was kinda surprised. I don't know, how is it bad? (no offence, just trying to understand)
Hi! I’m gonna say up front that I have zero authority on this matter since I am not Jewish. However, the general impression I’ve gotten from reading the views of Jewish people is that while collecting scripture as part of a collection of world literature may be one thing, collecting Jewish cultural artifacts and relics when you don’t know how to properly honor and care for them, especially if you are an evangelical company like Hobby Lobby who is actively campaigning against Jewish flourishing through their politics/theology/investments is really not cool. Christians in particular can feel very, very entitled to aspects of Jewish culture due to our tenuous family tree link to them, and historically this entitlement has been poisonous and borne out real and deadly consequences for the Jewish people.
Once again however, I am neither equipped nor qualified to pass judgement here. I think this is a good question to ask and I think you’re asking it in good faith. I also think there’s a difference between owning a copy of the Torah as in a paper copy of the Hebrew bible with rabbinical commentary, which many students of world religions would find interesting, or owning a Torah scroll, which is a painstakingly crafted liturgical and devotional object that probably shouldn’t be handled by someone who hasn’t been properly trained. I think OP was particularly referencing Jewish items that are of particular liturgical significance or are antiques. Those items belong under Jewish care, is my understanding, especially in light of the long history of various people trying to destroy Jewish culture and Jewish life. Our Jewish neighbors have every right to preserve their religious items and use them to sustain their communities.
Yes, Torah scrolls are amazing. I’ve visited synagogue a few times as a guest and once had the opportunity to view a scroll up close in my Judaism Christianity and Islam in Israel/Palestine class, which was a moving and enchanting experience. But a local rabbi brought in the scroll to share with us of his own accord, he handled it and taught us and invited us in to his religious world as guests, and that’s the important bit here. We can admire and learn from other faiths, but it has to be on the terms of our neighbor, and we have to accept that we don’t have an inalienable right of access to other religions.
Jewish followers, please feel free to add your thoughts to this!

Friendly reminder that Loki’s not a sadist bent on fucking your life up.
He’s not here to bully you, punish you, guilt-trip you, hurt you, or belittle you into doing it “right.”
Those are signs of spiritual abuse and you’d better check to see who you’re working with.

Pagans and witches against Nazis
As nationalist parties are on the rise in many Western countries, it is important that we as pagans and witches are cautious. Nazis have appropriated pagan religions (Norse and Germanic paganism in particular) in the past, for example by using runes as their symbols.
Let’s show them that Nazis, fascists, the “alt-right”, racism, anti-Semitism and islamophobia are not welcome in our spaces. If you see a blog posting Nazi ideology, unfollow, block and report it.
Make the pagan and witchcraft community a place where all people feel safe and welcome.
