"There is a way to bring personality into the space and make it fun, but their demeanor makes it feel like I'm being force-fed disgusting baby food." Their tone was weirdly enthusiastic, but condescending at the same time. It was rather strange, and Fia would make sure that if she were to ever take a class again, this instructor would not be leading it. "I'm Sofia, by the way. Most people call me Fia, though," she said, extending a hand to the other.
"That is definitely what I was thinking," she agreed with the other smiling. She continued to sip her wine instead of painting whatever the hell they were supposed too, she gave up after the instructor said to blend the pretty colors on canvas. "I think she's trying to be like Bob Ross."

"The town's divorcee club? What does that entail?" Fia was curious about the conversations that transpired amongst the members of this grouping. Although it was bittersweet, Fia knew it was the best outcome for her and Chase. She would always have a love for the man, but life and circumstances of her own doing had gotten in the way of something that once seemed promising. "Uh yeah, my dad," she said with a small nod. "He and his partner Emilio are throwing a whole shindig. There's a bridal party and everything so I'd be happy to pass on your info to them. How long have you been a makeup artist?"
She's used to rejection by now, but that doesn't mean such a curt dismissal doesn't still sting from time to time. In fact, Chelsea is already ruffling her feathers and preparing to say something in defense of her business when the woman's next words catch her off guard, providing a clarification that suddenly justifies everything that'd come before. "Sorry t'hear it— we'll have you with open arms when you decide to join the town's divorcee club. There's more of us than you'd expect." And it's strangely comforting, knowing that she's not the only one to have erred recently. "Malibu, huh? Who's getting hitched — you said your dad?"

Scrambling last minute was annoying as hell, but she was thankful for the help. "It's not too overcast, is it?"

With her friend Alara on speed dial, she was able to save the day. Alara worked her magic and made Onya's dress fit her body perfectly. "I wonder how many other fires like this you've been able to put out," she said curiously.

"And she was like 'I could never' and then he apparently ripped his shirt off and he was like 'Are you sure?'" The story was about one of her friends in Los Angeles hooking up with an international soccer player at a wedding. "Five minutes later she was in bed with the man. I told her she should be in a soap opera," she chuckled.
Fia was happy to be back in Aurora Bay, where the pace of life was slower and more peaceful compared to the bustling energy of Los Angeles. "Anyways..." she said popping up from her previous lounging position, "How are you babe? How was your first Mother's Day?" Fia had caught a flight over the weekend to celebrate her abuela in Boca Raton. However, before her departure Friday morning, the agent made sure her order of flowers and gift (tea kettle set with dishware) arrived for Sloane.

"I gave up trying to mimic the Northern Lights when she started moving too fast," Fia chuckled. She decided to follow her own inspiration instead. "I prefer rosé and prosecco," she said. Sofia also enjoyed sweet wine, especially Moscato on certain occasions. However, the experience was too stressful for her to enjoy the wine. "They give off the vibe of a failed high school artist who is at the peak of their character arc."

However, my father might be interested." Davi Souza had recently returned to Los Angeles, and her father's health had improved. She had eloped with her long-term partner Emilio, and they were planning a full wedding in the fall. The card might come in handy for the wedding.
