I’m back to one (1) follower (Hi @nightmarealley!!) and so I thought I’d take a swing at writing things for public consumption again. 

Being back on Tumblr has brought back a ton of memories - this is where I had my first exposure to critical race theory, read posts that encouraged me to find my first therapist, and reblogged S-tier shitposts from friends throughout high school and college - nearly all of whom I haven’t spoken to in years.

I made this account, IIRC, in 2011. Fast forward 11 years later - I am a grown-ass adult man with a mildly receding hairline, working a fairly balanced job at a big social media company after having spent an entire career’s worth of chaos in politics, a lot less sexually repressed (out as bi to nearly everyone I care about outside of family), living in 1br/1ba shoebox apartment in a high-rise in a fancy city, a lot more physically healthy, and a lot more psychologically stable (thanks to a non-insignificant number of psychiatrists + therapists over the years).

Of all the things I wish I could tell 2011 version of myself, the most important would be:  It gets better.
