A neighbor called and said she saw a swarm on a fire hydrant so I grabbed my bucket and ran there as fast as I could. I dabbed some lemongrass oil on the bottom of it and they walked in. After about 5 minutes I just scooped the rest in and bam! Free bees!

I got the queen on the first scoop too though. Apparently she was a new one because she was piping in there really loudly. This is my first personal swarm catch so honestly I’m not sure if that was supposed to happen or not.

Had an idea for a character.

His name is Faro the Flesh Merchant, he used to be a handsome incubus, but he started using his shapeshifting powers to help humans who felt bad about their appearances. He doesn’t mind his new form because he loves helping humans reinvent themselves.

You can trade your unwanted body parts to him and he will give you new ones.  He is like a walking character creation screen. He carries around unwanted body parts until he can find someone new who will love them.

Bonus:

Nickelodeon have announced a plan to build an underwater theme park in Coron, Palawan, Philippines. They claim the 400 hectares would “advocate ocean protection,” however by building artificial structures they will actually damage and disrupt Palawan’s marine ecosystems - one of the Philippines most beautiful natural areas.

For a channel that targets children, this is unacceptable and sends a terrible message - to destroy the natural world and replace it with plastic and fantasy. 

WE need to preserve what we have left and celebrate the beauty in nature.

I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. She was so tall I couldn’t see her face but she was wearing gold and I was like “uh…hi?” And she said “I made you, do you know that?” And I nodded and she was like “I hear your thoughts. i’ve been doing my homework on how to break into a writing career and honestly. there’s a Lot that i didn’t know about thats critical to a writing career in this day and age, and on the one hand, its understandable because we’re experiencing a massive cultural shift, but on the other hand, writers who do not have formal training in school or don’t have the connections to learn more via social osmosis end up extremely out of loop and working at a disadvantage.
