I'm not usually an avid fic reader myself, but Hellsing has been the exception for me. Granted I joined the fandom during the golden age of Fanfiction.net and had a lot more free time to read fic back then, but I also like to think that the personal history between the characters just lends itself really well to interesting (and fun) fanfiction.
