The moon hung overhead in the velvet sky, illuminating the path for Harvey to take. The full moon would soon be approaching this week and his desire to run free was more prominent than ever.

After doing the last of his deliveries, he made his way to the woods, his footsteps crunching the fallen leaves. He always tried his best to transform deep into the woods to avoid any townsfolk seeing him. Imagine his surprise when he bumped into someone when he thought he was alone.

Thankfully, he hadn’t transformed just yet after being alerted to the stranger’s presence. “I didn’t expect anyone else to be out here at this hour. What brings you out here?”

Harvey stands there awkwardly with bite marks over his arms and legs. He managed to get concerning looks from people he walked by and he tired his best to avoid them. He didn’t need them knowing he lost to a couple of geese.

“I was gonna fight back but a cop saw me and told me to leave.” Harvey pouts. “Can’t believe he wasn’t on my side.”

Harvey tugged back at the leash of a hyperactive chihuahua that proceeded to jump at the stranger, yipping and yapping for attention. The dog stopped and lowered its ears when Harvey gave it a look. It ran to Harvey’s legs, whining softly as Harvey lowered himself to give the dog a few scratches behind its ears.

“Sorry about that, I’m trying to train this one not jump at people.” Harvey apologizes. “I promise she’s not aggressive, she just wants to get affection from everyone.”
