It pisses me the fuck off that yoga is actually ancient and really good for you. Part of me still feels like it was invented to extract wealth from white socal moms.
Nobody really needs a urinal. they are very efficient space-wise so you can understand why venues holding large amounts of people, stadiums, theaters, universities etc would use them but they aren't a need. a toilet and a bin for disposables, disability access and baby changing are needs. individual stall ftw (also it's nice to be able to wash your hands before opening the door and picking all your stuff/coat up again.
Plenty of swimming pools I've been to have open changing inc. larger cubicles for family changing and one even had several large rooms at the back for school groups to change away from the general public.
the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
and think, "This'll be a fun little thing to read while I wait."
And then you read it and you're fundamentally changed as a person and you're left staring off into the middle distance as you contemplate life and love and connection and what it all means?
In the end, if children bother you for sensory reasons and that's why you don't want them to be in the same public spaces as you, there are disabled adults who can and would cause the same sensory issues for you. Adults who are loud, who vocally stim, who have poor boundaries, poor hygiene, who cry in public, etc etc etc. And they're already socially ostracized for all of this.
So actually yeah, it's the bare minimum you can do for the group with the least human rights on the planet to figure out how to accept children as part of your public community without hating them for it, even if you are child-free yourself.
There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"
