A glimpse of Summer
Over the past week I have been feeling the winter blues. After spending almost a month back in the hot summer of my home, Brazil, I came back to a cloudy, rainy, leafless (is saying lifeless too dramatic?) New York City. Keeping positive and doing the bare minimum daily activities, such as getting out of bed for starters, seem to be taking a little extra effort.
Looking back at pictures from warm months and sunny days, got me feeling
like there is a light at the end of the tunnel (or may I say, at the end of winter), and that is what I wanted my photo composite project to capture. Looking into a cloudy, foggy landscape in Central Park, and having the colors and the fun feeling of summer all around it.
The composite’s intent is to make the viewer sense that there is indeed that light at the end of the tunnel, that summer and better days are coming, but most importantly, that positivity comes from the inside, even when you are looking at a sad and colorless landscape.
