odysseus absolutely does present a threat to penelope if he perceives her as at all unfaithful, and i feel the unfairness of this, and i think people tend to undersell how much tension at least potentially exists between odysseus and penelope. but i'm also like. his reaction, all speculation aside, his actual reaction in the odyssey to her flirting with the suitors is delight, because he immediately ascertains that she is running a con. sorry that they're so in-sync in spite of the forces that try to drive a wedge between them, including their own misgiving hearts. sorry that they invented homophrosyne ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The best part of the percy jackson books is that from percy's perspective hes just an easygoing funny cool guy who seems pretty harmless but the moment you see him from someone elses pov hes terrifying. Just a crazy good fighter, a force of nature killing machine, literally gets mistaken for a god in disguise. But he doesnt see that side of himself at all because hes too busy arguing with authority figures and respecting women. I love him

you all misunderstood percy’s reaction to nico saying he used to have a crush on percy soooo bad. “percy was offended he wasn’t nico’s type” this “percy is so oblivious” that HOW have we all forgotten that nico literally wanted that man DEAD in the first series. and allowed percy to walk around with kidnapppng amnesia for most of the second. WHY would percy think he was nico’s type AT ALL why ON EARTH would he NOT be oblivious to nico having a crush on him???? he is certain that nico wants him homeless on the street at LEAST

hi im still mad about how silena’s legacy was handled!! drew had every right to be angry about her being a spy like yes she was manipulated by luke but she also caused deaths and betrayed camp half blood. drew is allowed to be upset that the sister she knew had done such things and didn’t admit it until she was dying!! that’s traumatizing and yeah drew’s coping mechanisms weren’t kind to her siblings but its never acknowledged that she was probably hurting. piper knew nothing about silena because she wasn’t fucking there for the war and had no right trying to put drew in her place for feeling angry that her sister, who piper had never met, betrayed the camp. like yes it was good that someone stood up to drew about how she ran the cabin because she was being a bully, even though she was hurt. but they did not need to bring silena into it when piper was the last person in that cabin who should’ve been talking about her. honestly it just erases the nuance of silena’s actions and how she hurt her siblings

Eternally disappointed that we didn't get Jason subtly ("subtly") probing the Seven to make sure they weren't homophobic for Nico's sake and accidentally convincing them all he was bi, by the way. Both because it feels like something that would happen and because I think it would be really funny if Jason realized that the topic had never come up and was like "Before I promise Nico everyone's unconditional support I should probably double-check that he'll get it". Like Jason does just assume that they'd all have Nico's back and doesn't check and while I don't doubt he's right I would find it amusing if they got back to the ship and he was like "...Maybe I should ask just to make sure". And I can definitely see Jason, in the process of making sure no one realises he's asking for Nico, accidentally convincing them all he's asking for his own sake.
