MISANTHROPHI To Release Principles of Cosmicism and Decimation
MISANTHROPHI, the melodic death metal trio from Mexico have released their album Cosmicism and Decimation on CD via Mexican Steel Records. The album was previously a digital-only release.

Biting guitars, catchy riffs and guttural harsh lie in wait within Principles of Cosmicism and Decimation. The intriguing "Chaospiracy" explores the conspiracy of chaos - dark matter explains the universe yet we know we don't understand anything about it. Musically this track unleashes an array of styles and moods from thundering rhythms to intricate melodic offerings, aptly chaotic in its nature. "Born Corrupted" manifests an eerie tone, opening with an enveloping assemble of fast-paced technical riffs twisting, winding and entwining around each other. There's a sense of urgency and anguish presented through these intense instrumental arrangements.
Exploring our insignificance in the grand scheme of things, "Beyond Our Insignificance" brings a progressive and rhythmic offering to the album. MISANTHROPHI's technical bass lines and fierce vocals inject power while busy runs and melodies produce a distinctive effect. Further cosmic exploration is to be found in "Emptystemology". While most of the universe was previously thought to be 'vacuum', it's now considered dark matter. It's. Not. Empty. Thrashing heavy, high-octane metal contrasts with clean guitar leads, jazzy-leaning rhythms and bass before returning to melodic metal realms. It's a ferocious voyage into the universe beyond.
About MISANTHROPHI:
MISANTHROPHI gets their sound from the '90s Swedish Death Metal scene with a dash of Mexican experimentation while also encompassing Neo-Classical passages. MISANTHROPHI was formed in Mexicali, Mexico in February 2014. The name of the band incorporates 'phi' as a concept for aesthetics but merged with the word 'misanthrope' creates the meaning: "the beauty in contempt of humanity" or "the disillusionment with mankind due to its lack of harmony". It was also inspired by the song "Misanthrope" by DEATH and the band's STEM academic background.

Formed in 2008, Grand Demise of Civilization quickly became a notable fixture of the Minnesota metal scene. They released their debut full-length, Black Goat Apocalypse in 2009, proceeded by Repent of the Sentient Being (2013) and Below the Feet of Kings (2019).

Temple Witch: Embracing Shadows and Shaping Soundscapes
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, songwriter and guitarist Andy Russell joined forces with drummer Johno Benedik, sparking the birth of Temple Witch. Their musical chemistry flourished, leading to the creation of a stoner/doom metal band. With the addition of bassist Jacob Jones, the trio swiftly embarked on recording their debut album, "Hand In Hand With Chaos," released in June 2021.
Following the success of "Hand In Hand With Chaos," Temple Witch embarked on a journey of growth and achievement. They secured their first management deal with Extreme Management Group Inc. and garnered endorsements from industry leaders like DR Strings and InTune Guitar Picks, Inc. The band's ventures included performances at the inaugural Apocalypse In The Desert festival in Las Vegas and tours along the United States' east coast. In April 2023, Jacob and Andy found themselves in need of a drummer. After a handful of auditions, they met with a fellow Northeast Ohian musician; Jacob Wherley of Emerald Rage. Their connection was immediate and Jacob Wherley was welcomed into fold.
Also in May of 2023, Temple Witch signed our first record label with WormHoleDeath Records. Since then, the band has been tirelessly preparing for the release of our second album Ocean Thousand, Mountain Thousand. Temple Witch, not simply a catchy title, but a reference to the body and spirit. As a band, the goal was to write songs that tackle philosophical and, at times, existential matters. The word ‘Temple’ as a nod to body and mind; the word ‘Witch’ a reference the the shadow within all of us.
Temple Witch's ultimate aim transcends fame and fortune. Their mission as artists is to connect with audiences on a profound level, leaving a positive imprint with their music. Whether it's moving one listener or captivating a crowd of thousands, they view music as a pure form of communication. Their ambition extends globally, aspiring to reach audiences across cities and countries, touching the lives of millions.
Temple Witch’s message is not overly complicated. It is this: though we may not all understand one another, we all share the experience of being; the beauty, the wonder, the terrible suffering, and the utter cluelessness. The band doesn’t wish to make any sort of final or conclusive statements other than they know very well what it’s like to be human, and to that all people can relate, and that is what Temple Witch writes about.

Back in 1993, Death Metal had started taking a turn towards either more melodic, catchy and uptempo sound in Europe (At The Gates, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity etc.) or way more brutal sound in the US (Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse etc.) but one band, formed that same year in Varberg (Sweden), stood out from all trends and that band was the only one able to fill the gap between the two different directions: ANATA.

About SLAUGHTERSUN:
Drawing musical, lyrical and creative influences from the likes of DEMILICH, GORGUTS, CANNIBAL CORPSE and AT THE GATES, to name a few, SLAUGHTERSUN create their own take on the death metal subgenre. Band founder Ben Karas (WINDFAERER) initially began writing for SLAUGHTERSUN back in 2017, but it wasn't until 2022 that Karas was able to fully dedicate time and energy into the band. Fresh off of their recent European tour with SKÁLMÖLD and SEVEN SPIRES, Vancouver-based blackened symphonic metal outfit ATAVISTIA will release their new EP Inane Ducam (translates to 'I Will Lead Into Nothingness') on July 19, 2024. Featuring new guitarist Elia Baghbaniyan and bassist/vocalist Spencer Budworth, Inane Ducam seeks to explore different genres and styles while still maintaining the core ATAVISTIA sound.
Band founder Mattias Sippola comments "'Inane Ducam' was an experimental writing process - lower tuning, the debut of Spencer’s fierce low growls, and tempos reaching close to 300BPM. During the Winter months of 2023, Vancouver experienced extremely dark, cold, and gloomy days which is an antidote to creating music like this."

Letallis - A Thousand And One Nights - Chapter 1
aking musical influence from OPETH, GOJIRA, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, and conceptually based around the Arabian Nights tales, A Thousand And One Nights - Chapter 1 is the first of three upcoming EP releases.
The band comments:
"This music has been crafted to take you along the ride of the classic literary stories that transcend time. Filled with peaks, valleys, intimate moments and aggressive passages, each song is made to take the listener along the journey."
More on A Thousand And One Nights - Chapter 1:
"Merchant": "This story begins with the listener journeying to a bazaar who encounters a mysterious merchant. The merchant entices the wanderer to read the tales that will eventually become A Thousand And One Nights."
"A Thousand And One Nights": "This is the first “frame” story to the ATAON. Telling the tale of a King who is betrayed by his wife. Consumed by hatred, he has her killed, and decides he will take a new, virgin wife every night. Sleeping with them for the night, and having them killed the next day to ensure he can’t be betrayed again.
After several years of killing off nearly all the women virgins in his kingdom, his head vizier’s daughter offers herself to the king. She devises a plan; telling him such intriguing stories every night, yet not entirely finishing them, so that he becomes so captivated as to spare her life the next day. This goes on repeatedly for a thousand and one nights, until finally he spares her life permanently and they marry (Ouch. Happy ending much?) Overall a tale about a brave heroin figure who gives herself over to stop a merciless King."
"Thief": "Thief is based around the point of view of a street thief who will stop at nothing, burn any bridge, to get what he wants. Honor below all. He eventually has an encounter with a jinni, asking him to satisfy his endless greed. Overall about a person with insatiable hunger for anything he doesn’t already possess."
"The Vizier And The Sage": "This story is about a king who is stricken with leprosy. A man who has everything he could want in life, except his physical appearance. One day the king is approached by a sage who says he can cure him of his disease. The King, initially trusting the sage, takes him in and grants him many treasures. The Kings vizier, a very ill intentioned manipulator, convinces the king the sage cannot be trusted.
The king eventually has the sage beheaded. But before his head is removed, he tells the king he has one last gift. After his beheading, place the sages head on a plate and he will instruct him. The king, instructed to read from a book by the now only head, flips through the pages, only to find them poisoned and is killed by the sage. The sages head proceeds to speak of how if the king hadn’t been manipulated by hate, he would still be alive. Overall a story of how many people already have all they need in life, if they only look for it. And to not be coerced by hateful opinions of others."
About LETALLIS:
Formed by Jake Calonius in New Jersey in 2006, the band released their first full-length The World Awakened, shortly after. the band soon took to the live stage opening up for bands like CANDLEMASS, DAYLIGHT DIES and POWERMAN 5000, as well as landing a spot at the NJ date of Warped Tour in 2008. Relocating to New York City in 2009, 2014 saw the release of Resonate. After joining forces with new drummer Alex Cohen (MALIGNANCY) and other members to play live, the band started gigging around NYC in 2017 and dove into the local metal scene. A Thousand And One Nights - Chapter 1, is the first EP in a series of three releases.
