MRAs: think they're being oppressed because women won't have sex with them
Trans "MRAs": We have difficulties accessing healthcare, housing, and welfare supports, also we have a high rate of corrective rape done to our community, and much of the violence enacted on us goes uncounted because we're misgendered in our deaths. Also everytime we try to talk about these issues the rest of the queer community invents a new slur for us? Maybe we should come together as a community and figure out how to fix this.
Some Fuckin Genius: these two things are the same actually

Not trying to be an asshole but why reblog a post about sex work being no worse than any other work because work is the exploitation and put a bunch of tags agreeing but then add this too
You're still being whorephobic. You thinking the ~porn industry~ is extra eugh and inherently extra vulnerable for every person in it is detracting from the entire point I've been trying to make.
Sex is not inherently more vulnerable for some people than being the only woman in your department at a factory that has twelve hour shifts and won't let you sit where the men talk openly about assaulting women and one threatens me with a gun because I was open to a promotion lmao
Like. Sex might be more vulnerable FOR YOU. But stop applying this thought universally to every individual human. These are your feelings towards sex. Yours. Your own.
I will likely do different forms of sex work on and off for the rest of my life. Because I love it. Because I love sex and I love kink and I love the performance of sex work as theater involving the things I already love. And rads hate when whores like me say we love sex and love sex work bc that's IMPOSSIBLE.
And then they insist it must be a class issue, that I wouldn't feel this way if sex work was my only option. But it is my only option lmfao because I'd rather actually kill myself than work in a factory or a Target or a Torrid or gas station or Pizza Hut or anywhere else the fuck I've worked that actually felt like miserable desperate exploitation in a way accepting $200/hr to fuck someone never did for me. And right now I haven't been doing sex work for half a year and we've been actually starving and living off of donations I beg for. But that's somehow less vulnerable than being in a studio setting where people are directed and guided and have to be STI tested regularly? Not in my experience.
If you want to be an ally to sex workers, stop projecting your own icky feelings onto our industry. Plenty of porn performers fucking love their jobs and the issues we have aren't ones yall ever approach from a labor standpoint, but ALWAYS a "sex is icky therefore this job is inherently icky" standpoint and that's not fucking helpful. The issues in the industry always tie back to capitalism and overpolicing but yall fantasize about women's suffering so much more than the average porn producer and its insane

It's just funny how bioessentialism to most of the queer community seems to boil down to just genitals and not entire bodies and each individual secondary sex characteristic too
Like if a woman has a penis that's fine. But if that woman looks like me, it doesn't matter if she has a penis or a vagina, because you all stopped breaking down your bioessentialism at genitalia. And it's not like we flash our junk in public, so a beard is instantly a sign of a man no matter what even if the same person who believes that wouldn't think that about genitals
It's the same reason queer people who aren't intersex are still so obsessed with intersex = ambiguous genitalia. You don't want to actually do the work to break down your bioessentialism to even understand the variations in secondary sex characteristics that come naturally to humans regardless of their genitalia or chromosomes
Lazy and intersexist and usually self serving

It’s not “misgendering myself” to point out that people often see me as a woman, that I have experienced and do experience misogyny, and that growing up as a girl affects how I act today. That is just my life. That’s how it is being trans sometimes. People can have different experiences than that but I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I’ve always been treated like a guy to alleviate other people’s dysphoria. And saying transmascs can experience misogyny sure as hell doesn’t mean transfems don’t.

here's to trans men with anger issues. here's to trans men who are loud or raise their voices without realizing, neurodivergent or otherwise. here's to trans men who get irritable or frustrated or impatient easily due to trauma, neurodivergence, mental illness, pain, or other disabilities, here's to trans men who can't take care of themselves, here's to trans men who can't stuff down their emotions, here's to trans men with violent intrusive thoughts, here's to trans men who snap without meaning to, here's to paranoid and psychotic trans men who become scared or hostile toward others without causing violence due to delusions and hallucinations, here's to trans men who struggle with homicidal ideation
here's to trans men who are bitter and angry and don't want to get better, here's to trans men who have tried to recover from trauma and have failed, here's to trans men who can't access proper mental health care because they aren't taken seriously, here's to trans men with mental health care trauma, here's to trans men who cope poorly with anger and hit inanimate objects and do "scary" things that don't actually hurt other people physically or emotionally.
here's to trans men with complicated mental health issues who need help but get insulted and called mean, rude, scary, shitty, assholes, dicks, jackasses and abusers. here's to trans men being human, too, and struggling with things just like anyone else. that doesn't make us evil, we are heavily traumatized by cisheteronormative society. here's to trans men who don't hurt other people but get told they do because people won't let men struggle with their emotions. i love you. you're loved. keep your chin up.

Actually. I’ve sat and thought about the situation with that post for two seconds more and I’ve decided.
1) Everyone now on that post taking personal shots at me? Okay. Fine. Whatever. I’m more fucking mad about every idiot who falls into this genre (no, I’m not censoring their urls, they said this with their whole chest)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fucking hell, can any of you get a life?? I know one of you is a literal n/azi (moron number one) so the answer is clearly no, but holy shit this is so. Pathetic. Clown goddamned behavior from the local Christian populace today. Choke.
2) I hope every Christian blogger who started this shit in my notes burns in hell. I wish the fucker who tried to drown me in a baptismal pool when I was young succeeded so at least I didn’t have to look at your rancid-ass takes. Get better priorities then “This dyke/fag injun tranny said something about sex that I disagree with using words I don’t, and refuse to, understand.”

So. I’ve been trying to find a way to word this post for awhile, but it’s never turned out quite right; so I’m just gonna slam it down and hope for the best. (Which isn’t saying much. This is the “piss on the poor” website.)
While I understand as a community how it might feel like a gotcha to appeal to transphobes through relatability, and pointing out the way that anti-trans bills/laws/regulations will hurt cis people as well… I just really wish that we didn’t have to do that, and that it was a less common talking point.
See. Transphobes know. They’re not saying the quiet part out loud, but they know. That’s their intent. They don’t want to stop at just trans and purposely gnc people. They want everyone with any sort of gender variance they don’t like, inherent to their physical body or not (intersex people and people of color with non-traditionally-cis-european-white features come to mind for the former), to disappear forever.
They want anyone who doesn’t fit into their view of (euro-centric) gender and agab normality to be hidden, “fixed”, silenced, and/or killed. They want us out of the public eye, so anything done to us isn’t as noticeable.
Trans, nonbinary, and gnc people are the main targets in this moment, and everyone else caught in the crossfire are just necessary sacrifices for the sake of “normality ” in their eyes.

Hi - this post blew up suddenly and unexpectedly like awhile after I made it. Update; I made a meme.
Tumblr media
Also; To everyone saying “I understand this mindset but I just can’t personally see it that way myself.” or other variations. I see you. I adore you. Keep living your life. Your existence is just as valid, and I appreciate you not butting into the lives of others and saying their viewpoint/mindset is harmful or wrong just for being Different From Your Own.
Just read a take that is just “If you enjoy having sex with someone you’re sexually attracted to them” and I just. Sex can just be An Activity you fucking moron.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but telling a white supremacist “you don’t speak for me and are not in fact normal” is a very fair and good thing to do. It’s not at all the same as making a “not all white people” comment like the last guy thinks, and it’s especially cringeworthy that he’s another, different white guy himself. It’s like trying too hard to flex allyship. Don’t be a pedant to people who are shutting down a racist’s argument.

Time to come out of my occasional activity coma to hold my head in my hands and sigh.
The mentioning of whiteness in the original post is, inherently, part of the framework of context for the whole post. The mention of whiteness in the original post makes sure that, if you have Reading Comprehension, you’re reading the text through the lense of awareness of the ways these different experiences can change things.
God knows this person here is showing off a great example of white queer fragility, descending into a racist rant about how we’re somehow exaggerating the part that race plays in the context of the original post - when it’s an important part of the genre of person being talked about in the first place.
Anyways, I’m so tired, and I wish white people a very merry “Mentioning someone/a group of people being white when talking about fragility mindsets and mishandlings while talking about oppressive social structures isn’t just a throw-away line”
I have haterish posts to make about things I’ve seen on lex…
