See, here's the thing. You're taking the reality of trans teens and assuming that must mean that literally anything done in the name of helping them must automatically be right, judging solely on intentions and not the actual most important thing in medicine-safety. It is not safe for minors to undergo major, intrusive surgery of this nature. You are not killing anyone by banning what is already illegal, and to tie this to the very real issue of trans kids not getting things like therapy that they actually do desperately need only contributes to the general ignorance surrounding the topic.
I'll see your situation and I'll raise you a situation. 5 and a half hours of information you literally could not find elsewhere without either learning another language or relying entirely on awful ai translations.
Love how you think you get to act like the defender of Holocaust survivors while using the term "zionazis". I'm very sorry, but there's no elaborate Israeli conspiracy to make everyone look bad. You just hate Jews who want to not see half their people genocided.
Soap
So... I've just learned that Israelis/zionists used to call Holocaust survivors "soap". I did a little deep diving because what the fuck does that mean? And...
Yeah.
Never let these zionazis weaponize the Holocaust and bastardize Judaism to justify this ethnic cleansing.
Harry Turtledove once wrote a rather clunky version of this into one of his kids books, the Crosstime Traffic series. In a world where the 13 colonies never truly united, the South is mostly just assorted fun-size versions of the CSA, except for Mississippi, which saw a black revolution that basically reversed segregation to now be about blacks keeping whites down. The titular organization is working behind the scenes to effect change in all the segregating states, but at one point a character admits that they aren't focusing as much on Mississippi as they are on all its neighbors, highlighting the issues with viewing segregation as bad because of who it hurt rather than because its wrong inherently. At the time I read it in high school, I thought it was way too obvious and blunt, and that nobody would really act this way. And then I started using social media.
maybe this is a fundamental difference in moral views because i think oppression isn't bad because it harms certain groups, it's bad because it harms people. it DOES harm specific groups, and that's a necessary part of understanding it, but the mistreatment is the problem, not the fact that that mistreatment is unfairly distributed
At last, I'll be able to fly from one airport in Texas(where it's medicinally legal) to another in the same state without the TSA preventing me from bringing my legally-prescribed medication on the flight. And all it took was 75% of Biden's term, right up until he started worrying about re-election, for him to do literally anything about this problem both parties have been chipping away at for over a decade.
Ok, I see the problem here. You thought I was talking about the hows and why's of Hamas's deliberate slaughter of over 1,200 Israeli civilians in the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. What I was actually talking about was the simple fact that Hamas deliberately slaughtered over 1,200 Israeli civilians in the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
Every day we get closer and closer to rediscovering Strasserism. Which, for the uninitiated in HOI4 alternate history mods, is basically left-wing Nazism that, for a brief period, was in competition with Hitler's brand of Nazism for who would control the Party. But they didn't last very long after they lost, of course.
For a bunch of so-called "leftists", a lot of you are acting awfully right wing. Religious fundamentalism used the be the antithesis of leftist values, but you guys are happily supporting it when you scream for "intifada" and wave the flags of right wing terror groups.
And wasn't it considered to be a bad thing among the left once upon a time to hate people based on their country of origin or ethnic makeup?
Hey OP, is it hard to ignore all those people calling for "intifada revolution" and saying things like "Iran has a right to defend itself"?
No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadows what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence they should be.
Very fitting that you use a slogan calling for an Arabic ethnostate on a post denying Israel's right to not be genocided.
A two state solution is ridiculous. Israel deserves nothing after what they've done and Palestine deserves everything, their own land and their freedom!
Ok, so where do all the Israelis born in Israel go? Or do you not care about their lives as long as they just disappear?
A two state solution is ridiculous. Israel deserves nothing after what they've done and Palestine deserves everything, their own land and their freedom!
Ok, so we expel the millions of Israeli Jews who were born in Israel, to parents born in Israel, to countries they've never been to before, because...their government did bad things? Well then, I guess that means anything is justified against people from countries with bad governments. It's a good thing that over 150 Russian civilians just died in a terrorist attack then, right? Because their government does bad things in Ukraine?
A two state solution is ridiculous. Israel deserves nothing after what they've done and Palestine deserves everything, their own land and their freedom!
So what, just expel the millions of Israelis born in Israel to random other countries? Punish them for the sins of their great-grandparents?
A two state solution is ridiculous. Israel deserves nothing after what they've done and Palestine deserves everything, their own land and their freedom!
