The twins you should familiarize yourself with
Ibeyi is the French-Cuban duo you wish you’d heard years ago. The two twins, Lisa and Naomi Diaz, are connecting to their roots and sharing it with the world. The elements of Yoruba, French and Afro-Cuban are dispersed throughout their music and I might say, it sounds spectacular.
Their song River off of their self titled album Ibeyi is a clear example of Yoruba and English being merged in song.

Getting to know Jersey’s 070 Shake
19 year old, Shake is the next thing to come out of New Jersey. Coming through with melodic rapped tracks, she is a force to be reckoned with. Shake and her 070 crew are soon to become a household name -- she’s about go on tour around North America.
Shake has a sort of trance like effect to her voice. Her song “Connect” is a perfect example of this.
Stay tuned as we watch this young artist’s journey to stardom.
