|2018| 🎉🎉 What a crazy, amazing 12 months it’s been. This is the first year in a while that @johncreimann and I are spending the night just the two us. Being able to reflect on how far we’ve come both together and individually this year. From our engagement, to my many job changes and even working 3 jobs at some point John has been by my side every step of the way, supporting me through the final stages of my degree, making sure I’m fed and just all around happy. |VOLUNTEERING DAY 3| Today we traveled to Urquillos where we were greeted by the locals with bouquets of flowers. We split into groups and went on our way to start our day. Another day of building stoves and today we had to complete two at two different houses. We got our first stove finished, but didn’t get the chimney finished on our second stove which was disappointing! #trav #southamerica #peru #urquillos #volunteering #deakinabroad

|VOLUNTEERING DAY 2| We were greeted in Huayllabamba with confetti 🎉 We first went to one of the locals houses to learn how to properly construct the stoves in the morning, where there were some newborn kittens and a room full of guinea pigs! In the afternoon we split into groups to go and construct our own stoves, which was super rewarding when it was finished knowing that we have been able to help someone in the local community. #travel #southamerica #peru #huayllabamba #volunteering #deakinabroad @deakin_abroad (at Huayllabamba, Cusco, Peru)
