y’all are actually insane for calling the popular fics in a fandom “superior” over other fics. like okay fanfic mussolini chill

#They aren't necessarily better written either #a lot of them are just long and easy to follow and read #which isn't a dig fanfic is meant to be indulgent #but from what i've seen of other works and even in my own the stuff I consider not my best #but has a pretty inoffensive trope and is a cute fluff piece #does way better hits wise than the stuff where my creative juices were really flowing #but that's just the nature of creating stuff the more you you put into something the less people are going to resonate with it #an that fine #I think if you ask any writer or artist what their fave work is its probably not going to be their most popular #its probably a weird personal piece that 10 people have seen #Is this off topic idk anymore
