guys I just thought of something.

so in the movie, Grantaire wasn’t asleep, he was fighting with everyone else, right?

so he must have known that Enjolras was missing. Maybe he heard the shots that killed Joly, Combeferre, and Courfeyrac from below. 

We see him coming into the room, but we don’t see the few moments beforehand.

He must have been so scared that he would arrive too late.

He must have flew up those stairs to find him.

Just imagine the few panic stricken moments that George Blagden’s Grantaire must have gone through before he died.
