Self-drilling drywall anchor/Drywall screw anchor — How-to:
(1. basically, screw it in with a hand screwdriver)
(2. basically, do a little pre-drill first)
(3. basically, very easy to use - he prefers the plastic over metal, however, I think the metals ones will work as long as they are not longer than 5/8" to avoid hitting anything that might be in the wall.)

Drilling into Walls: How Not to Hit Things
(check out if you have a drywall screw anchor first, because this might all be moot then: https://www.tumblr.com/graduallydiscern/748223376325230592/drywall-screw-anchor-how-to?source=share)
There's no way to know for sure, unfortunately, but you can make some educated guesses. (2)
Wiring should be stapled to the sides of studs like this, and ran through the center (see Image A; source 2)
Visually inspect for possible obstructions (1); stay 6” away from any power outlets or switches / stay out of their horizontal and vertical path (2 & 1); any bathrooms/plumbing behind the wall or above you? (1)
Bonus step: Use monkey hooks before drilling into drywall to twirl them around and check out the area first (random source)
if you feel resistance stop drilling (1)
Hitting pipes and electrical wire depends on actually drilling far into the wall. If you don’t drill past the drywall, you won’t hit anything important. (1)
So: tape drill bit at 1/2" - 5/8" b/c that should be just enough to get through the drywall. And stop at the mark. (1) Note confirmation of likely drywall thickness. (Image B; source 3)
Don't drill more than 3/4" into a stud and you won't come close to hitting anything (If you're drilling into a stud, the wire/pipe needs to have 1-1/4" of clearance from the face of the drywall. If there's less than that then code requires a plate to protect the wire)

Mastering any craft takes time and the same can be said of Woodworking.  he will make a lot of mistakes at the beginning in the stuff you make will not be very impressive both yourself and others.
Frustrated at your slow progress,  you may be tempted to give up and try something else. I will be the first to admit that nothing new is ever fun. you will stumble along and feel like an idiot for most of the first few months but the beauty is that if you stick to it long enough,  your skill level starts picking up.
The thing that you need to ask yourself before you begin is are you willing to put in the amount of time it takes to get good at it?  the answer to this is no then you’d rather not start.
Glue vs. screws:
It’s safe to say that glue wins when it comes to versatility. It’s invisible on a finished project, strong enough to bind wood, and can be used to put broken wood pieces back together.
The vast majority of woodworking projects can be done with just wood glue. Still, there are instances where screws would make sense, such as attaching materials other than wood or working on a project that might need to be disassembled later.
In reality, having both in your workshop is ideal, and using both on the same project can be beneficial depending on what you are doing. Screws can provide stronger joints, and whole clamping glue can hold the rest of it down.
