also shout out to lou ferrigno jr for having the most flirty & lustful look in his eyes that pierces directly into soul when he delivered both the lines "probably not on the same day" and "i guess it’s just me that makes you nervous" sir your acting choices are making me batshit to the walls INSANE

I have to talk about this scene once again because I feel like there is so much to say.
Tumblr media
What Buck meant when he said it was "exhausting":
First he asked Tommy for a tour because he wanted to get to know him better (his words, not mine).
At the end of the tour Buck asked Tommy out but it didn't work out ( Eddie arrived and Tommy left with him).
Instead of asking him out on another day or calling him, Buck did the most Buck thing ever by trying to find roundabout ways of seeing him again.
First, he tried the easy way, by trying to join Trivia night when Eddie mentionned he was seeing Tommy again, but Eddie asked him to babysit Chris instead.
So he went for a different approach by trying to get Eddie to invite him to the basketball game.
When that didn't work out, he got Chimney to invite him.
That's why Buck said that trying to get Tommy's was "exhausting", because it was. He set up so many ploys to get to spend time with Tommy and none of them worked.
That's also why Tommy is surprised, because he didn't see all the nonsense Buck was pulling to get to see him. Tommy really thought this was about Eddie and Buck being afraid of losing his friend.
But if Buck had been trying to spend time with Eddie, all he had to do was ask.... they hang out all the time. The only times Buck is actively trying to join Eddie's plans is when he know Tommy will be joining.
Buck never behaved like he did when Eddie had plans with other people than Tommy.
I can't even blame Buck because this is exactly how I act when I have a crush😂

Okay here’s the thing. They don’t plan endgames. I KNOW they don’t plan endgames and they just wing it. I know it’s impossible to plan endgames because that implies you know: how many episodes you have left, which actors are available, that the network is okay with your endgame and the audience is gonna react well (this is probably the least important thing because once the show is over it really doesn’t matter).
So I KNOW they don’t plan endgames and it’s impossible to say they’re setting someone up to be someone’s else endgame. However. The more I think about bucktommy. The more I think about the efforts they made to introduce Tommy to the audience before setting him with Buck (2 whole episodes). The more I think about the lengths they went to make Tommy and Buck feel like a good match (Buck can’t stop thinking about him, Tommy doesn’t want to pressure him, Buck invites him to his sister wedding, Tommy shows up tired and covered in soot because it’s important for Buck). The more I think about their choices regarding Tommy (he knows Chim and Hen, Eddie likes him, Chris likes him). The more I think about how different he feels from Buck’s previous girlfriend (they told Lou to never call Evan Buck, Buck talks about Tommy with Maddie, Buck introduces Tommy to his family on screen).
they don’t plan endgames, I KNOW they don’t plan endgames but I think about bucktommy and I can’t help but wonder if maybe this is it. Maybe we’re finally done. I hate using that, but maybe we’re finally off the hamster wheel. Buck will have someone who finally stays. He’s been trying so hard to make it work with the wrong people, he’s wanted something real and good since season 1 and maybe he’ll finally get it. Can you imagine. I can’t help it. I can’t afford to think it but I find myself thinking it: Tommy might stay. so I need to keep repeating myself that they don’t plan endgames and I know that because I can feel myself slipping everyday more.

GOING FERAL ABOUT THIS
So in one of Lou’s most recent cameos, someone asked him why Tommy only calls Buck “Evan” and not “Buck” and he said that it is strategic and that it is specified in scripts and stuff that he should never call Buck “Buck”. Then he said something about “if you wanna get real with someone based on the circumstance that Buck reached out to Tommy” then he goes on to say that Tommy was introduced to Buck as Evan Buckley. So clearly the writers are showing a difference in Tommy vs Bucks previous gfs. Based on what Lou said about “getting real with someone” Buck doesn’t want to hide behind his nickname anymore he wants to be “Evan” to someone. The writers making this specific choice for Tommy is super interesting and it’s making me think that he could really stick around. They are showing that there’s something different about this relationship aside from the fact that Tommy is a man. Buck feels differently about Tommy and they’re showing that by Buck letting Tommy call him Evan. I’m super excited to see where this goes, because watching Lou’s cameos just shows how excited he is about it and how many small things he’s inputting into Tommy and the bucktommy scenes.

EXACTLY
Buck went from miss "I have to go to Ireland to reinvent myself", to miss " I'm sorry you almost died trying to save people but your job is too hard for me to handle", to miss "of course I'll lie to your face! I put my job above everything, including you"
to finally reach mister "I didn't wanna pressure you/I'll come to the Bachelor you organized even though I am on duty/I made it to the 'wedding' covered in soot even though I was putting off a fire all night"
and I am so fucking happy for him. 🥹❤️

I know this is really controversial, but I really hope Tommy is Buck's endgame. We're on season seven now. It's time to stop playing the rolodex of romantic Buck partners and stick him in a healthy relationship that goes all the way. The show itself can only go on for so long. I've never seen Buck look this happy or have such intense natural chemistry with anyone like this. Oliver and Lou are firing on all cylinders. Lou fits in perfectly with the ensemble cast. And at this point, what are the writers even fucking doing if they're re-introducing Tommy just to make him yet another damn notch on Buck's awful romance belt? It's time to give Buck the character development he deserves when it pertains to romance and stop playing around.
