You and your bullshit "Fifth Spirit" nonsense are hilarious lmfao. There's no way Elsa and Anna can be both because Anna is human and she acknowledged Elsa as the fifth spirit at the very end of the movie. Did you even pay attention? Elsa renounced her title as queen and Anna cannot be the fifth spirit because she's the queen of Arendelle. I know you're a popular blog but please stop writing deceiving posts.
Hi! 😊I watched the movie five times since the day it was released so I think I caught a few scenes here and there. So maybe I’m qualified to answer your questions?
Okay, the whole “Fifth Spirit” post I made was not an idea I came up with. Jennifer Lee (one of the directors and the writer of the movie) said that she thinks Elsa and Anna are both the Fifth Spirit. You can find the interview here (please click that link) and you can actually hear her say that. I didn’t make it up, I was just adding my opinions to expand that idea.
I personally don’t think that it’s impossible for Anna to be the Fifth Spirit as well. She’s actually marketed as a “Forest Spirit” in some merch. Maybe it’s not just Elsa. Maybe it’s Anna, too. take a look at this pic:
And a “spirit” does not necessarily mean that you have to be a deity or some sort of immortal :) You said “Anna is human” and she can’t be the Fifth Spirit because of that. But Elsa is also human? They were born from the same parents? I’m sure you already know that from the first movie as well.
Elsa said that their mother had two daughters (her and Anna, obviously) and that a bridge has two sides. One protecting Arendelle and the other protecting Northuldra. It’s Elsa and Anna’s love, loyalty, and sacrifices that pacified the spirits, therefore bringing peace to both lands.
Elsa is the Fifth Spirit, and Anna is not the Sixth Spirit or something because that eradicates the part of their story where they saved both lands together. They didn’t do that in separate events or objectives.
I think that’s what Jenn Lee meant. Elsa and Anna saved Arendelle and Northuldra together. They’re both the missing pieces that make up the last spirit. And to me, it makes sense because they’re both Iduna and Agdar’s children.
Elsa and Anna are both Arendellian and Northuldra by blood. I didn’t make that up, that’s part of Frozen 2! :)
Okay, if you’re still focusing on Anna’s mistakes from the first movie, and focusing on how she’s not going to make a good queen, can I just say that Elsa’s mistakes were much, much worse, and how she wasn’t that great of a queen either?
Look, I have crippling anxiety, so I completely understand why Elsa did what she did, but that doesn’t make what she did any less harmful than they were, and she still made a choice. Her choice was clouded with fear and anxiety, but she still had a choice, and she made an awful one. She also had several chances to try to right her wrongs, but she didn’t.
Like, Anna’s choice was impulsive, and part of the reason Elsa went into a freezing fit, but she fixed her mistakes every step of the way. She took responsibility for her actions, and went to search for Elsa, and left Hans, who she thought was the good guy at first, and actually did a reasonable job in her absence, and went and fixed her mistakes.
This is something Elsa never really did until the end, and again I completely understand why! But that doesn’t change the fact that there was so much Elsa could have done differently. She simply ran, put nobody in charge, and refused to come back, and let Arendelle fend for itself.
I get the anxiety aspect of it, but this isn’t something you want from a leader. You don’t want someone who leaves you to fend for yourself.
Even in the second movie, Elsa seemed to put her own feelings before the kingdom, while it seemed Anna was making a lot of the decisions. Elsa literally put her kingdom in danger trying to find the truth. Even Anna when scolding her mentions this. Elsa did try her best, and she did make cute ice sculptures for children, and created a mini ice rink for her citizens, but we have literally never seen her make any healthy decisions that put Arendelle first.
Yet so many people doubt Anna’s ability to rule, because she was naive when she was barely an adult, even though she has still always made decisions that put the kingdom first, and has saved everyone more than once. So many people still think Elsa is “more fit to rule” because she has good posture and shit, but literally the only decision Elsa has ever made that put the kingdom first, is isolating herself, and we all know that didn’t turn out well.
I think what a lot of you don’t realize, is as people who prefer Anna over Elsa, the Queen Anna spoiler is big news for us, because Anna never gets anything. Yes, she was the protagonist of the first movie, but even that whole movie was about her reconnecting with Elsa.
Elsa gets the powers, the dress, the song, the crown and the fans, and for years, we stayed quiet as Elsa continued to get everything. We stayed in our lanes. Did some of us complain? Yes, but for the most part, we were quiet. We made Anna appreciation posts, but you guys continuously made them about Elsa, as if Elsa didn’t have hundreds of appreciation posts already. People constantly bitched at us for headcanons that didn’t favor Elsa, I got bullied for writing Anna-centered fanfiction.
Everything in this fandom has always been Elsa-centered, and we stayed quiet.
Now, however? Anna gets something that Elsa doesn’t have anymore, and you guys are throwing one hell of a fit. It would be different if it was about a possible separation, or if it was about the situation in general, and for some, it is about the separation, but aside from Anna, all I see is people complaining about the Queen Anna aspect of it- I’ve seen a total of one person complain about the goddess Elsa part of it, then you guys act like you actually care about Anna, and saying it’s a horrible ending for Anna, but a much better ending for Anna wouldn’t even be about Anna anyways.
You constantly change your stories; first it was simply the separation (fair enough), then it was how Anna wouldn’t be a good queen, when those arguments were shut down, it was that stupid spare argument that had shown how little you actually understood the song. Then it’s how “out of character” it is for Elsa to abdicate for the throne, but now that those theories are also being torn down, you guys are trying to go back to the separation disappointment, and act like they never shat on Anna for supposedly not having queenly qualities.
Someone says that maybe they both could be queens, and you guys claim that Anna should just stay a princess with more responsibilities, lmao? What constitutes “more responsibilities.” Because, you know....we don’t actually know what responsibilities she has anyways?
The thing is, Elsa fans are so used to getting everything, that the idea that Anna gets something that was once Elsa’s is unfathomanle to them. Anna getting an ending where she is literally doing her own thing and is not just an emotional support blanket for your fave. It’s not even like Anna is now higher than Elsa! Elsa is still higher than Anna in status! Elsa is a literal goddess
This literally only shows years of entitlement, because after years of everything centering around Elsa, someone gets something that doesn’t revolve around her, and you guys can’t handle it.
So anyways, stop claiming that Anna fans happy with the ending aren’t “true fans” because they don’t think Anna’s life should center around Elsa. Perhaps, for once, we are happy our character gets something of her own.
Remember that TV spot where Anna did that turning around thing with the colorful background....
and most of the fandom was predicting that it was Kristoff’s view of Anna, and EA shippers were saying it had to be Elsa’s view, because of where it was in the trailer, and everything has to be about Elsa, but it really did turn out to be Kristoff’s view of Anna?
I'm not even in the Frozen fandom at all, but my one concern for the second film was "I hope Kristoff and Anna are happy". I don't understand the Kristoff hate at all. He's such a good dude with such a good heart, and never asks or feels entitled to anything from Anna. He's just happy to be hers, and that's terribly sweet. There have been plenty of songs in Disney history of girls singing about their love, but I think it's great for little boys to see Kristoff so unashamed of his feelings.
As Sven said, he feels what he feels and his feelings are real..bout time we got a Prince who went in on his feelings in a song. Anyways, I can’t see the haters through all the lovely content we’re getting so…..haters gonna hate bb
Honestly putting Show Yourself and The Next Right Thing back to back in the OST is a personal attack. Some of us don’t have the shuffle option in car audio. The terrible shock it gives when switching from one to each other. This is torture I’m suing Disney
The emotion and waves in Anna’s voice as she scolds Elsa for going in the flames though… The way she’s seized by both anger and fear, still breathless due to her panic on the moment… Kristen Bell turn on your location I wanna hug you
