you shall suffer in life , until your bones ache & your muscles are tense . your body will beg for you to stop & rest but god demands more & more from your mortal flesh until you succeed : your gift shall be nothing but hollow victories that leave you with an emptiness .

he stares intensely at the insects that are the hylians . how curious how they live their limited lives as if they had infinity in their hands . they make art . they make towns . they create war for ownership over that is not theirs to claim . how ... odd the creatures are .

The device led him to a Hyrule he didn't recognize : another timeline, again. Next to a being that was radiating an aura he's never seen before. It was dark, just like his. But so much more tainted. It was so evil a shiver went through his spine, so the shade hid as best as he could. Praying for the Goddesses to, once in a lifetime, pity him. Scared to discover what that demon could do to him.

"For the love of Hylia, why won't you work..." He pestered, trying to make the sheikah tool work. As usual, it needed time before being usable again. Could be hours ; could be days. It seemed inevitable, now : he was going to get noticed.

the land was silent . burning fields in the distance that darken the sky ⸻ the sun could not break through . the god stands at the top of the hill , overlooking the fire that spread across the land : killing the humans who cower in fear ... weaklings , begging for their goddess to save them , to protect them . they know not of the true fire that the avatar can bring to them for their fragility .

he breathed in for a moment : all this hell for the gift of their mothers . the power to rewrite this world in the image he sees fit .

the triforce .

than , he wasn't alone ⸻ a being tainted with darkness , one borne from his magic & vile nature . a child of sin & hatred , spawned & lived for slaughtered : a shadow of another . the god did not turn to him . he allowed him to stand in his space for now . they had successfully diminished the numbers of hylia's army . there is a moment to relax . perhaps even celebrate if he so pleased .

now the god approaches the being , seeing just how small they truly were . little ⸻ walking like an insect . thinking like an insect : you are an insect . in a swift moment he reaches to the being , grabbing him by the collar & lifting him up with ease until they are face to face .
