I can't believe all it took was a crush on a certain celebrity (I'm p sure only @valerieblogsalot knows who) to make me fantasize about being the monster who fucks instead of getting fucked by the monster....
This is most likely the first time Rocket has ever experienced true happiness.
It's the first time he isn't shadowed by the torments of his past.
He's no longer being hurt or belittled and no one's coming after him.
He faced his past head on and for the first time he has nothing to run from.
He's truly free.
For the first time he feels a genuine sense of self worth.
He doesn't have to prove himself to anyone; he's already done that and he's been accepted.
All he had to do to be valued was be himself.
He finally knows who he is and he's embracing it.
He has found true purpose in life as the leader of a group of former outcasts just like him fighting for the greater good of the galaxy.
He's not just fighting for himself anymore.
He's not just fighting for those he cares about.
He's now fighting for a universe he believes is worth protecting.
He's no longer angry at the world.
He's finally letting go of fear and hate and is allowing love into his life.
He's dancing. He's hollering. He's happy.
It's bittersweet yes, because the family he has made for himself, the ones he loves, are going their separate ways, but that's okay because he knows they're not abandoning him, just going in different directions.
He'll be in contact with most of them, and there's hope that the others will find their way back some day, some how, even if they are living different lives now.
They still love him.
For the first time in a long time he knows he is truly loved.
For the first time he feels worthy of that love.
And he isn't pushing it away anymore.
He isn't alone.
He has made peace with his past, he's embracing the moment, and he's looking forward to his future.
To me, that's the most beautiful thing imaginable.
at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville rn and i’m wondering why more musicians don’t have their own restaurants. i would eat at Trent Reznor’s Tavern of Terror
