i should stop taking everything about tayvis so personal because why does it make me weak that he called her his significant other in front of a room full of people or that he said that she is his everyday playlist.. not just his game day...

no bc “down bad crying at the gym” is so incredibly real lol. i know it’s a lighter lyric overall but it perfectly encapsulates how sometimes you’re just out doing normal things while simultaneously being in the worst state mentally and you’ll get set off by nothing in particular but you also just. gotta keep going so. yeah crying at the gym

we thought loml meant both love of my life and loss of my life but in the song she never actually says "love of my life", she says "you told me i was the love of YOUR life", the only time it's actually loml is when she says "you're the loss of my life" at the end...

ttpd is a great album when you don't have a little bitch on twitter yapping your ear telling you otherwise

genuinely the way taylor clearly falls hard and fast and hopelessly in love every single time is very endearing. writing "this happens once every few lifetimes" and "no one's ever had me, not like you" on the same album that covers the breakdown of two relationships that were also seemingly destined and life changing and unmatched by anyone else is exactly what makes her so good at writing about relationships. if a songwriter doesn't feel everything with their whole chest and throw their whole being into it then I don't want it

but daddy i love him is so funny, when she wrote "sanctimoniously performing soliloquies i'll never see" she was looking at stan twitter straight in the eye (sent with invisible ink)

the album is brutally honest, satirical, a bit cringe here and there, depressing and experimental at the same time, I would not side eye anyone for saying "I don't understand this" or "this isn't my cup of tea" or even "what the fuck is this" because it's obviously not a 1989 or midnights kind of album for everyone. I understand why she said she "had to put this out" but while she is at the peak of her career, she released an album that is not for beginners nor really for overall critics, it's knees deep into the taylor swift lore and probably the most herself an album has ever been, that does not mean it is a masterpiece but it makes it so insanely special

the manuscript ending the album on the utter jawdrop moment that neither of the muses of the actual album were the first men to fuck her up with promises of marriage and babies, and that first heartbreak so long ago laid the scene for the woman she would become and the ways she would approach love and how we all watched her life like scenes in a show but she kept coming back to the manuscript of the first torrid affair that ruined her, to bookend an album about two love affairs that destroyed her utterly in almost the exact same way, because all her muses are acquired like bruises........ it's bone-chilling
