I ain't no anon cuz i don't hide my shit but maybe still something. What's your opinion on Markus "Manfred"? I ain't asking about hcs, if mfs got the right of liking or if it's valid or not. I'm asking what >YOU< think bout it and why. Using in-game canon reasons will up your respect lvl with me in 18%. Nah, i'm joking. I know it's asking too much from Reed pfps.

Dear Marcus, sorry for the delay: we just got back from Christmas vacation and we're back in the trenches watching bullets fall around us. It is possible that soon you will have one less grief because I will have to disappear again because exams are (HELP) just around the corner. Or at least I won't be able to be here every day :P Be that as it may, you won't say that I don't bring you good news xD

Ok, now answers :D Marcus can take on his former owner's surname for a couple of good reasons.

First, for personal reasons: having a surname can help you have an identity in the “real world”, as a free and independent citizen. Do androids have surnames? No. The surname is something human and something that distinguishes those who have roots in life. It distinguishes those who come from somewhere and want to have a destiny. I don't think Markus wants to be just “Markus the android” anymore.

Second, for administrative reasons: independent people have to deal with bureaucracy, and ah, here it is going to be the chickens that get in for the chikens get out. He's free now, but one of the scary things about it is he'll have to deal with lots and lots of paperwork for everything. How will citizen Markus be distinguished from other Markus if it is not with a surname?

As for taking the surname of his former owner, why not opt for that of the only human being who has ever treated him decently? What could it be, if not? No android has a last name, where is he going to get one? Well, there is the option of putting your finger on a map and choosing the first name that appears xD
